The world
Has battered me
Over a hundred timesAnd I
Don't want to
Be broken anymoreCaught me in your rearview side
Crying out anxiety and surprise
When finally someone stops in the rain
The answered texts got me screaming your name
Not used to this kind of trust before
Biting my lip in the shadow of the mirrorI've
Lost my mind
In the hurricaneAnd I
Am afraid
Of what happens nextYou make me feel, make me feel
The world through a whole new lookYou make me see, make me see
This calming echo of the twisted words insideSometimes I wonder if you see
The person that I am, that I want, underneath
Yet you still answer my every call
Are you just someone who can't see me fall?
Or do you just want me to feel whole inside?
Are we just happening to be on the ride?Cuz I've seemed to feel better
After this time in recoveryAnd I've seemed to see better
When you've stopped me in your rearview
