Storm

Love doesn't last forever
Sometimes people drift apart
It isn't our fault
But we beat ourselves up

Blood falling from my lips
In the gram of a perfect midnight miss
Chocolate stains on the table
Yet I'm not going to be stable

Stumbling to call the number keeping me from you
Keeping me from the heartbreak and rue
Hanging memories on fairy lights
Brighten up the darkest nights

Laying in the grass outside
Dully glancing at the stars above
Luminous lights dance through the dreamscape
Flickering flames seem to remember me

Can you see? Can't you see who I am?
Breathing comes easier to those who pretend
Won't you stay, won't you stay, away from me?
Oh. Me.
Cuz the world will turn without you
Without me to stop the storm.
