I close my eyes to the sound of rain
My finger caressing the atlas's pane

Trailing over the neat webs in maps
Oh baby, have I lost that many naps?

In my silence, I trace all those roads
That we travelled, too lost in hoards

Oh your absence spans all the pages
Trappin' me in journey of gone ages

A swarm of colors encloses my eyes
I can't look away from our lost skies

Rain taps away at the window pane
While my mind makes me go insane

I look, your silhouette summons me
Stoppin' me from setting myself free

So I surrender to your lost call again
And dive down into the pool of pain

Holdin' this atlas so close to my heart
I absorb the distance setting us apart

Author's Note

Listening to 'Say Anything' by Ashley Nite. I'm watching 'The Vampire Diaries' these days and I loved this song! ❤

I've had this idea for so long and I put it into my book 'Cara Evelyn' as well. It's this that if you miss anyone, just take out the atlas and trace your fingers across the map and they're going to be somewhere under your touch and you can feel close to them. I know it sounds absurd and more like escaping reality but..that's fine. Fine than falling apart. :')❤

P.S this poem is too bad as I planned to do it better in free verse but I'm a bit distracted right now and I had to take it out real quick before it ate away my mind so here's it, a third class version of what it was meant to be. 😂

Much love,
Hazel *-*
