come, sweetheart,
my pretty stroke of art,
i'll take you somewhere
deep into my hidden lair
that's home to wild stars
'n' all them drifting cars
that paint wheel tracks
all over the grey roads,
piercin' through hoards
like the queens of the night
until they're out of sight
and you're left whistling
into the thin trace of air,
so won't you visit my lair?

give me a little chance?
i plan to sketch this trance
all over the canvas of night
to fill your eyes with light
that'll kiss your soft soul
before repairin' you whole
over the bridges of this city
for you need warm felicity
so baby, just hold my hand
by this dark umbrella stand
and close your deepest eyes
that wish to explore the skies
for i'm takin' you somewhere
beyond this sweet floatin' air
so won't you visit my lair?

it's not that we need a screen
or some kind of time machine
to step inside my little globe
so wrap up your night robe
and just follow my crisp trail
and, if by chance, you fail,
don't be afraid for i'll be there
to gift you a choco bar of care,
to weave in your hair, all stars,
'n' embrace you with all scars
'cause when the chapter ends
'n' we come across rough bends,
we don't close the book in vain
to leave it, never read it again
instead we pick up our old pen
to write our stories until when?
well, till the time we are here
together in this world so unfair
so won't you visit my lair?

honey, we make our destinies
so lets wear our woolen beanies
and go on a run against the sun
to step into a brilliant night, hun
that envelopes the neon lights
ensorceling our drugged sights
that crave them blaring beats
'cause we can't stay on our seats
for long, we're the mad gypsies
who constantly feel crazily typsy
and even if we survive on loan
darlin', please keep holdin' on
'cause i know we're gonna be fine
after all, i know, they're all stupid
all the eight soldiers out of nine
for wars are a very messy game
where no one 'n' all hold blame
so lets keep out of it, shall we?
'cause we really wanna be free
so please say yes? step up a stair
it's been waitin' for you, my lair

Author's Note

Listening to 'Just Hold On' by Louis Tomlinson. I tell these songs because my poems contain snippets from them. :)

This is a very strange poem. I mean..I do have something in my mind but I just can't explain it. I'll leave it to your interpretation. Kindly enlighten me. What do you make of this poem? Give me a good explanation like I give you in every author's note except, ofcourse, this one. :P

Also, my exams are around the corner. 5th-21st July. So, I might not update but who knows? I've been planning to 'not update' since two days and again, I'm here. Hehe. :D❤

Eagerly waitin' for your interpretations. Enjoy! :)

Much Love xX
