oh well well
i do hear it
the faint knock
on windows so sunlit
like lightest of whispers
roaming in alleys
of magic and love
that take me to valleys
of fascinations
across the nations
of coldness
painting the borders
of conflict and war
ever so far...

slowly i trace
the drunken taste
of deep wilderness
as i let myself fall
to the alluring call
of the faint knock
like softest of feathers
making it through
the test of weathers
and kissing my lips
to rob me of sanity
that i never had
in the first place
'cause i've had letters
adorned with lace
at my doorstep
every spring
which would make me
dance and sing
into a chaos of madness
oh what a mess

what a mess
does it make
the faint knock
like the sweetest
tick-tock, tick-tock
of a little clock
that so urges me
to wait for spring
and the echoin' ring
of sparklin' windchime
hanging by my door
oh how it pushes me
to escape the test of time
and follow my heart
into the world of art
where resides the cause
of ringing applause
whose center of attention
i cannot mention
for it is that same old
faintest of knocks
that pulls the strings
of my wanderin' soul
into a web of magic
and makes me yearn
for the lovely letters
whose italic script
i can't forget
ever in forever

oh darling
what do you say?
should i tell them too?
that the cause of this
faintest of knocks
is none other than you
or should i keep silent?
for it is the silence
that lets me embrace
the soft trace
of the faint knock
that tells me tales
of midway love
sealed with letters
that mark my peace
and try to nourish
every broken piece
scattered in my heart
like a masterpiece of art
or a pretty sculpure
of old architecture
that adorns the
horizon 'n' city outline
well that's more than fine

for how it outshines
these messy lines
painted on my palm
that define my fate
but i stay so calm
'cause you know
it's never too late
to shut down reality
and turn back to
the faint knock
like the light 'plop'
of a crystal waterdrop
because after all
who ignores the call
of sheer affection
in the reflection
newly found
in the form of sound
for i love this lock
of your fondness
that resonates like
the faint knock

Author's Note

The faint knock...is actually the call or pull of his beloved. An intuition. A memory. A souvenir. That reminds him of 'her' and when he opens the door in desperation to go meet her in the lands of fantasies, he finds letters on his doorstep...by 'her'. ^-^

This poem actually cherishes the importance of a love that is equally reciprocated. It nourishes your soul. Such a love might be imaginary...but still, it needs to be there. Atleast once. In your life. To revive your core. :)❤

So..if you don't find equal love from the people whom you love, it doesn't hurt to imagine that you do...because it'll nourish your heart. Make you smile. :')❤

Go back and give it a read once again. You'll enjoy now. And yeah..sorry for such complex poems. My mind is a home of intricate webs of silky strings. Couldn't untangle them in 20 years of my life..aah. :')❤

Much Love xX
