You never spared me a single glance
But I was so drunken in your trance

It stole my breath, your fleetin' gaze
You led me into a very dreamy maze

Your pride won't look at a poor 'me'
How I yearned, I wish you could see

Alas! how could you be so heartless
You turned me into this lovely mess

Oh I began hatin' you for arrogance
For cold demeanor, reserved stance

I could see a desert before my eyes!!
Couldn't you hear my broken cries?

I broke through months of torment!
It haunted me, your lingering scent..

Then arrived a lovely rainy mornin'
You appeared here without warnin'

You had spanned the miles 'n' yards
You were shattered into soft shards

Falling to my feet to openly confess..
You said you could not wait no less!

To hold me into your yearnin' arms
You were bewitched by my charms!

Hesitation had stopped you till then
You had fallen for me! How? When?

You showed no ego or trace of pride
My soul sang, we're meant to collide

Oh an' then I realised my lowly vice
I had been a victim of silly prejudice

Never cared to explore you enough..
'N' always termed you proudy stuff!!

While you had the soft heart of gold
Whom I was finally lucky to behold!

My pain had been caused by idiocy!
Still, pride 'n' prejudice gifted us...

Ecstasy

Author's Note

I don't like this poem but I love the book 'Pride and Prejudice'. Also, the 2005 movie version is so sweet!! *-*♥♡

This poem is not about it though. It's a random poem that is trash. Lol. :P
