Back wheels whir under my seat
Playin' in my ears is strange beat

I set my chin against soft leather
It's getting cold, outside weather

Dense fog is kissin' the lead road
Everythin' is hidden like barcode

I can't make out world passin' by
Nonetheless, I strive to give it try

Lights flashin' into the unknown
I think about our days long gone

They mix into tears on my cheek
I keep looking outside, it is bleak

My weak eyes make out shadows
Into thick fog, I see broken vows

The haze's makin' me slow down
I cry! what made me leave town?

You know, it's hurtin' me to leave
I'm killing all the dreams I weave

Slowly, I shatter like never before
Emptiness haunts me to my core

It fades away in fog at heavy cost
My past's becoming a hauntin'...

Author's Note

I'm still on the highway and now, I'm listening to 'Ghost' by Halsey. It's a full moon night, I guess. I can't tell exactly but yeah, I see a full moon. ♡♥

Also, I had my chin against the leather by the window and there's fog all around my car. So..the strange idea struck my mind and I wrote this poem in which the person is leaving the town in fog. It's a metaphorical poem as well where the fog may represent the confusion that he/she is facing after leaving the hometown. Leaving the past behind...

I can't explain because I'm feeling kind of sick. My head reels. I hope you understand what I meant originally. Moreover, we nearly met an accident while I was typing the second last verse. However, we're safe. Don't worry. Keep prayin' for me. Thanks. :')♡

Much Love xX
