CHAPTER ONE:
OCTAVIA, MEET JASON TODD

└─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───┘

OCTAVIA GRAYSON fiddled with the robin charm hanging around her neck as she wrote on the piece of paper in front of a large system of computers and screens.

octavia looked up at the screens and sighed in frustration. she put the pen down and grabbed the paper, spinning around her in chair, she stood up and left the room.

she mumbled the contents written on the paper to herself as she walked down the wide corridors of the wayne manor.

octavia, still staring down at the paper, knocked on bruce wayne's office door and waited for his response.

"come in."

octavia used her elbow to push the handle down and used her body to open the door. "octavia." bruce acknowledged.

octavia finally looked up as she sat down in front of bruce. "i tried for hours, i can't find the gang that's running the drug trade." octavia said, sliding the paper over to bruce.

bruce sighed to himself and picked up the paper.

"i tracked everything. their movements and past interactions. there's no pattern! it's like they disappear and then resurface at random!" octavia ranted, slouching in her chair.

"octavia, these people couldn't have just disappeared." bruce replied, placing the paper down and crossing his arms.

"well, it looks like they did. i tried everything, bruce, and nothing."

"i refuse to believe that octavia grayson has given up."

"i never said i gave up. i just said they disappeared. i'm also exhausted."

"there's a thing called sleep, octavia. maybe you should try it." bruce retorted sarcastically, "slow down, crack a book, eat some chocolate or something, rest."

"i can't." octavia replied.

"yes, you can." bruce said, "you can and you will. you've thrown yourself into every single case i've assigned you too. you're getting no sleep and you're not eating."

"i am eating." octavia defended herself.

"name one thing you ate in the past five hours." bruce said. octavia paused and looked down, giving bruce his answer.

"this isn't healthy, octavia. you need to take care of yourself."

octavia scoffed softly, looking away and pursing her lips. bruce rubbed his temples and looked at octavia, "i'm taking you off the case."
