At Ilvermorny, the official pet list is a lot more diverse and the rules are more laid back than at Hogwarts, and students can have almost any they want, as long as they are not too loud, big, or dangerous. Any student planning on bringing a pet must inform the school so they are well-informed and make any necessary procedures ahead of time. Students bringing a pet must bring any necessary procedures ahead of time. Students bringing a pet must bring the necessary supplies with them as they will not be given on arrival. Any student wishing to bring a magical creature must get the approval of Professor Aureliana and Professor Fontaine to make sure it is not too loud, big, or dangerous. Any student with a magical creature that requires special care, needs, or attention must be able to meet them. They are not advised to bring them with them and care for their pet properly. If unable to meet these needs, they are not advised to bring them to school with them. Students bringing a non-magical pet are to make sure they get all the proper shots before arriving. Students with a magical creature that require a special license to own must send a copy of one to the school via raven or owl or by messenger hawk to be able to bring and keep their pet at school. Any venomous or poisonous pets will be immediately confiscated for student safety. They must be able to keep their pet under control and not make any noise that will disturb other students. Failure to do so will result in the student being punished and their pet being sent home or confiscated, temporarily, or permanently. Students who are blind or physically disabled and require a guide dog are to contact Deputy Headmistress Emaline Goode and the guide dog will be allowed to ride on the train.
