Ilvermorny offers a variety of classes for students to choose from. However, new students have a set schedule they must follow and attend all assigned classes. Starting in their second year, students can customize their schedules and select classes that fit their preferences.

Classes are also available for AP and Honor Students. These are "rigorous, college-level classes in a variety of subjects that allow students to earn college credit while in high school by scoring a 3, or higher (5-point scale), on the AP exam associated with that course." according to No-Maj educators. To clarify, these classes aim to assist students in gaining admission to a wizarding college of their preference.
