"Kayc do you want me to tell you both now or have you go out to the room and get Tristan to come tell you.”

“Actually I think I would like Tristan to come tell me. If that’s ok?”

“Of course if you go out and wait I will tell Tristan.”

“Ok”

I hug Tristan and leave the room.

10 minutes later Tristan comes through smiling.

“It’s positive. These thinks aren’t wrong when your already 1 and half months pregnant.”

“OMG!” I scream. “You mean I’m carrying a baby in my stomach at 14?”

“Yes.” He says hugging me. At least he was enthusiastic.

We walk back in to Gina’s office.

“I understand this is something that you might like to leave and discuss so I will book you in for tomorrow night for your health check and we will work out your due date. If no ones on the machines we can even do your first ultrasound. This may be hard but I will do everything I can from here. Eventually we will need to get you to go to your doctor though. Do you know who that is?”

“I use to go out to the Rosny Doctors but haven’t been to a doctor in years.”

“Good news then. I work every Friday and Saturday at the doctors just up the road. Mostly doing pediatric GP work and maternal work. If you want I will take your details from here and enroll you at the clinic so your mother doesn’t have to. I know you may not want to tell her right away but you will have to eventually I could get in a lot of trouble for seeing you with out parental consent. “

“Of course. And I think I would like you as my doctor. But may we please leave. I think I need to go.”

“Of course. But guys, Kaycee this might not be fantastic but congratulations. “

“Thanks” I mumble.

“Thanks” Tristan says.

“Well there you go. We are having a kid”

“I know!”

“Do you still want a hot chocolate?”

“No I’m alright. Do you just want to go catch the bus? I don’t really want to go home. I would rather go home and cuddle into bed with you and cry but…”

“Can you “stay at a friend’s house” or something? “

“I doubt it”

“I will send you credit so you can call your mum. “

“Might as well give it a shot”

“Hello?”

“Hey mum. Its me”

“Oh hey. What’s up?”

“I got asked if I could work tonight from 7. It’s a short shift but I was wondering if I could go to work the maybe just stay at Christies house or something? Please? I feel real stressed at the moment with work and school and everything at home. I would love a little break and it also means I don’t have to walk home at 11pm? Her mums ok with it and she’s strict about bedtime so I will get sleep as soon as I finish work and Sarah her mum will drop me off at school in the morning? “

“Yea alright as long as you promise to walk the dog tomorrow night?”

“Yea well, I’m going to the library then doing some shopping cause I get paid tomorrow. And I might be working but I will if I get a chance otherwise I will get a lift to the dog park on the weekend and take him. Is that ok?

“Yea I guess. It’s better then nothing, poor puppy. Have you got enough clothes?”

“Yea. I will stop by the shop now and just get some cheap socks and undies. I needed to get some anyway. And I’ll get some tea on my way to work.”

“Alright then. I’ve got to get back to work. Love you”

“Love you too”

“Well that sucked. I hate lying. I’m keeping so many secrets. Lets just go to your hotel ok. I’m tired.”

“Ok. What do you want for tea though?”

“Well see. I will not doubt crave something. “

“Yea that’s right. Lets go.”
