A bell above the door rang as Patton walked into the quaint little flower shop.

He walked around, before finding the roses.

Patton smiled, and began searching for the prettiest rose. A (F/c) rose.

He took the rose up to the counter.

"Who's the rose for?" The cashier smiled at him.

"O-oh, it's for my partner..." Pat trailed off.

The cashier picked the rose up, and handed it back to Patton.

"It's on the house. She/he/they must be extremely important to you."

"She/he/they is/are...I love her/him/them so much...!" Patton gave a faint smile, took the rose, and left.

Patton walked down a familiar road, one he had walked many times in weeks past.

Here I come, (Y/n). Patton smiled as the thought brushed past his mind. He remembered going to your house to play all sorts of games.

You two had been so close.

Patton's pace slowed. He twirled the rose between his fingers.

Before long, he found himself at the gates.

Patton opened the gates, and started walking down the familiar cobblestone path.

Another memory played in his head.

You two were running around outside, playing Hide N' Tag. Footsteps pounded along a cobblestone path, down towards the park.

Patton continued walking when the path ended. At one point or another, he ended up at the base of a hill.

As Pat gazed up the hill, he fondly recalled another memory.

"Hey, Patton! Betcha can't catch me!" You ran ahead of Patton, taunting him as you raced up a similar hill.

Patton slowly began his ascent.

At the top, a large oak tree waved in the wind.

"Hey, Patton!" You called down from the top of an oak tree. "Come get me!"

Patton walked closer to the tree, and the cold stone grave underneath.

A single tear rolled down his cheek, quickly followed by many more. Patton gently placed the rose at the foot of your grave.

I'm sorry, (Y/n).
