Chapter 14:

I Hit The Ground And Heard A Loud Thud. The Back Of My Head Was In This Sharp Pain. I Held My Head. It Felt Wet. When I Looked Down In My Hands, It Was BLOOD. Dripping And Dripping. I Felt Like I Lost A Lot Of Blood. I Was Starting To Feel Dizzy And Things Just Got Blurry. In Fact, I Couldn't Even Speak. I Just.. Layed There Helpless. My Eyes Got Heavier And Heavier As If Someone Was Pulling Them Shut. Next Thing I Know, I'm Just Looking At Total Darkness. Half An Hour Later, I Began To Slowly Open My Eyes. This Light Was Shining In My Face So Bright. When My Vision Got Clearer, I Noticed It Was My Mom With A Flashlight. My Eyes Were Opening Up More Now. "Shannon? Shannon! Blink Twice If You Can Hear Me!", She Yelled. I Blinked Two Times. I Felt My Head Again. It Was Bandaged With Some Gauze. Some Of The Blood From My Head Seeped Through It But I Felt Much Better Now. "Shannon Thank God Your Awake! What Happened?!", She Asked Shaking Me. I Was Lying Across The Kitchen Table. I Couldn't Speak. It Actually Hurt To Speak. But I Don't Know Why. "She Was Running, And She Fell Down The Stairs", Said A Voice. It Was Andrew. That Lying Bastard. I Don't Know What Changed Him So Much. He Used To Be So Protective Of Me And Now He's Gotten So Violent. He Pissed Me Off Big Time. He Lied Straight To Our Mom. "See This Is Why We Don't Run In The House! It's Called WALKING For A Reason, Shannon You Could've Killed Yourself!", She Lectured Me. I Wanted To Say Something Back But It Came Out As Nothing But Mumbles. Mom Helped Me Off The Table And Up To My Room. When I Woke Up My Head Stung A Bit, But If My Head Were A Bomb Everyone In This House Would Be DEAD By Now. Then I Stopped Myself For A Moment.
