(Ed POV)

The L.A. Fans were always so loud... I could hardly hear myself backstage. I was so happy I had came, and once I saw Trevor, I was so bloody excited to grab my guitar and play that song now... Now that I can sing my heart out to her, right in front of me.

Barbara stood at the side of the stage as I walked up, keeping herself hidden from the fans... She watched me closely, and I couldn't help but feel nervous.

"Ello Los Angelees," I waved at the crowd as Trevor passed me my guitar. Good mate. They all yelled back and I couldn't help but just look to the side every few seconds, Barbara's brilliant eyes glued to me, an expression I couldn't quite make out... But I guess I'll ask her later.

I went on with my performance, playing countless songs, doing what I love the most... But just one thing on my mind, that last song.

I watched as Barbara would check in from the side, greet her other performers but constantly keep her eyes on mine.

Halfway through Sing, I watched as Barbara moved away from my view to talk to her manager, her back to me as Paul's face warped into surprise and shock. I couldn't quite make out the words...'You have to tell ,em,' it looked like... Maybe a band didn't make it? That's okay, I could cover for them.

Once Sing was done... I drank my water, cleared my throat, and that's when Barbara turned back to me, her eyes watery again, her face stressed... Maybe about the problem that might've occurred earlier with Paul... Hopefully this will boost her spirits.

I smiled at her before looking at the crowd.

"I just wanted to apologize about keeping you all waiting earlier.. Just in case you guys were wondering... I was.. Uh.. I was talking to..erm...to the person hosting this magnificent event...," I mumbled, knowing the fans knew who I was talking about...

But once their yells intensified so loudly, I was quite surprised when I saw fans begin to cry in the front, holding up signs with photos of Barbara and I at the ski trip a few weeks back...

I rose my eyebrows, before letting out an awkward chuckle.

"Got a lot of Barbara and Ed shippers here, don't we?" I laughed, looking at Barbara to see her blushing as the crowd went nuts, her smile so perfect from here.

I snapped back to the crowd, nearly forgetting I was in front of 200',000 fans. I smirked, before shuffling my hair and looking down at my guitar.

"Well, I got good news for you then," I murmured sheepishly with a grin, fixing my loop pedal for the song afterwards.

I was going to go deaf for a few days after this.

"Anyways, I was wondering if you guys were okay with me playing a new song I wrote a few months ago.. And it's kinda a dedication to erm...," I didn't quite have words, so I turned the mic to the side as the crowd continued..

"Barbara, why don't you come on stage," I waved at Barbara, who literally looked like her eyes were going to pop out from her reddened face.

She wiped under her eyes before walking on stage, looking down as she shook her head in disbelief.

'Ow,' Barbara mouthed playfully as she smiled at the crowd, rubbing her ears. I laughed.

"Ed, you're crazy," she yelled into my ear through the deafening crowds. I chuckled and nodded, before I looked around, the song is like 4 minutes.

"Hold on, I'll be right back guys. I need to get her a chair," I blurted before Barbara tried to reject.

"No. It's okay Ed I-" I shut her up with a peck on the lips, and the crowd awed as I sent myself rushing off stage, one of the crew members passing me a stool in a matter of a few seconds.

I sat her down, and set the microphone in front of her, the whole crowd quieting down as I cleared my throat.

"It's called Thinking Out Loud..and I'm standing right in front of the inspiration for it. This is for you," I murmured as the crowd made me blush with their aw's and cheers.

When your legs don't work like they used to before

And I can't sweep you off of your feet

Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love

Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?

I never moved my eyes from her as I strummed... And I couldn't believe that I found my stomach dropping at the sight of Barbara's smile... Fitting so perfectly with the song...bringing back the true passion of my lyrics, of my emotions, of my love.

...Cuz darling I. will. be loving you until your 70.

And baby my heart, can still fall as hard at 23.

And I'm thinking about

How people fall in love in mysterious ways

maybe just a touch of a hand

or me I fall in love with you every single day

I just wanna tell you I am

That's where I saw her lose it... And I never felt so satisfied with one of my songs until now. When Barbara began to tear up, her soothing gaze taking all the nervousness I never have away. That's when I knew that she is the one. This Messy Love of ours, it was meant to be colored outside of the lines, because that's what gives us that spark.

so honey now

take me into your loving arms

kiss me under the light of a thousand stars

place your head on my beating heart

I'm thinking out loud

that maybe we found love

right where we are.

I smiled at her, and I finished the song, the whole time the crowd singing along... And then Barbara reached for her pocket lying in her dress, and took out her phone. I rose an eyebrow as I finished the last chorus... Before she flashed her phone and took a picture, the crowd laughing as I hit the last chord on my guitar.

that maybe we found love

right where we are.
