**Chapter- 10 Son of Satan likes to surprise me? **

“Do you have to go home?” He asks slowly.

“Um...Why do you ask?” I ask back.

“Do you have a habit of answering a question with another question?” He says amused.

“Do you have a problem with the way I talk now?” I counter.

“See! Again!” He says, his voice a few octaves higher.

“Ahhh !! For all I know, you could be a murderer or an undercover FBI or CIA agent or OH MY FREAKING GOD! You could be an alien trying to abduct me and take me to your planet to experiment and analyse me. Or you need to drink my blood like one of those hot vampires. Oh my God!! Oh my God!! Why did I ever say my day can’t get any more worse? I am so sorry for whatever I d—“I stop, because I hear him laughing loudly.

“Vivian, why are you laughing?” I ask frowning.

“Cause you are being ridiculously cute and funny.” He confesses.

I feel my cheek warm up because of his words.

He thinks I am being cute!

Yippee..!!!

Ok Ok control Sha!!

“Huh?” I say controlling my excitement.

“Sharlene... I am not a murderer and I am too young to be an undercover agent. And surely I am not an alien or a vampire. You really have very good imagination!” He says chuckling.

I cross my arms and pout.

“Awww...don’t pout Princess! I just asked if you have to go home because I wanted to take you somewhere.” He says sincerely.

“Oh. Where?” I ask, curiosity getting the best of me.

“Hmm, is it ok with you? It’s 8.30 already.” He asks concerned.

“Yep. I am in college now. I don’t have curfew.” I say waving my hand.

“Ok. Then, let’s go.” He says excitedly.

“Where are we going?” I ask poking his arm.

“It’s a surprise.” He says grinning widely.

“What surprise?” I ask excitedly.

“Just be patient even, though I know you are not good at being patient.” He says cheerfully.

“Fine.”I mumble. He just chuckles and I turn my head away towards the window to hide my smile.

It’s been so long since I have gone out with him.

After about 15 minutes or so he stops in the middle of nowhere. Not literally. We were on an empty street. He unbuckles his seat belt and gets out. I follow his actions and get out wondering where we were.

He turns to me and just simply says “Take a walk with me?”

“Yeah. Sure.” I answer confused.

He smiles at me and starts walking.

His smile.

His smile cuts off the oxygen supply to my brain and makes my heart pump blood at a higher speed than normal.

Dammit.

I follow him giddily.

“It’s been 4 years.” He states softly.
