** Chapter 22.- Forgiveness. **

It's Monday already and classes have resumed. I was done with my classes for today and heading for the parking area and see Mel and Heath leaning on my car, waiting for me I guess. That does remind me, I didn't see them today whole day.

"Hey girls." I say, but they just look at each other and nod and come at me with serious expressions and that scares me.

Trust me people, when two girls, who are your best friend, come at you with serious expressions you get scared about what wrong did you do.

They just grab my arms, turn me around and stuff me into the backseat of Heath's car. Mel pushes me further in, to sit beside me and locks the door and Heath has already gotten into the driver's seat and I am just looking at them like a helpless puppy.

Heath drives away and finally after about ten seconds I snap out of it and ask them, "Where are we going?"

Silence.

I wait for them to answer but no answer. I don't know what's gotten into them, but their silence is scaring me even more.

I poke Heath and she doesn't respond. I look at Mel and she has a poker face on.

I guess I am in trouble. What did I do though? I am wondering about it when Heath stops her car and gets out. Mel grabs my hand and pulls me out of the car and I see that we are Heath's place. I guess they have a surprise of some sort, I think smiling but that smile fades away when I see Mel's scowling face.

Mrs. Greyson, Heath's mom, opens the door and gives us a warm smile. I manage to return her smile and we walk upstairs towards Heath's room.

I sit on the Heath's bed and Mel sits on the desk chair and Heath is just standing in the middle of the room.

Finally I break the silence by saying, "Hey, Heather, Melissa. What's wrong? Is everything alright?" I say glancing at them with worried eyes.

At that moment my phone chimes and take it out to see that it was Rachael, what did she want?

I open the text and my eyes widen when I see her text.

Hey Spicy, you are quite good at flirting eh? I didn't know that about you. So are you two together now? You didn't even tell me Sha.

The last part wasn't what bothered me much, but the first part. Spicy? I have ever only spoken like that to one person.

Heath sees my face and comes and sits beside me and takes my phone and she calmly hands the phone to Melissa. So this is what they wanted to tell me.

"I am sorry Sharlene." Melissa whispers and after about fifteen seconds I shake my head and say "Nah, it's nothing girl! Don't worry." But that was a lie. I felt betrayal. It was not nothing.

"Listen, we know what happened. Let us explain." Heath says and I nod at them wanting to know what happened.

"During fresher's party, we saw you and Sam Kieran talking to each other. We didn't think much about it because we knew that you knew how to handle a guy even if he was the bad boy of the college." Heath explained and her phone chimes.

"But few minutes later, Scott came to me and showed us screenshots of your chat with Sam Kieran. You didn't talk anything wrong or something but the spicy thing was, you know, kind of like flirting. It isn't that bad." Mel says when she sees my sad smile.

"And that's why we dragged you here, to tell you this but didn't know how." Heath says sitting beside me.

How do these girls know me so well?
