Chapter 23 : Getting Back Together

Jen's Pov:

I can't believe Josh acted like a jerk!

To distract myself I turn on the radio.

Unfortunately the song "I Can't Remember To Forget You" comes on and it reminds me of Josh.

I sigh. I guess this means I should choose Nicholas instead, since Josh chose Claudia.

I rehearse what to say as I park in the parking lot.

When I walk in Nicholas is sitting nervously at a booth with two hot chocolates.

"Hi," I say as I slide into the booth.

"Hey Jen," Nicholas replies with a slight smile.

I take a sip of my hot chocolate and look at him.

"Josh, got back with Claudia," I tell him softly.

"Jen, I'm really sorry. Please, take me back. I would never do that to you like he did," he pleas.

I take a deep breath. Maybe he wouldn't but he did give me all this bad press.

"This is your last chance," I say softly.

"Oh Jen, thank you! I promise, I won't let you down."

Josh's Pov:

Claudia cuddles up close to me as we watch a movie.

"I missed cuddling with you," She tells me as she kisses me softly.

When she kisses me it feels nothing like it does when Jennifer kisses me.

"Are you okay?" Claudia asks looking up at me.

"Yeah I'm just, tired," I lie.

"My poor Joshy!" She shouts hugging me tightly.

I hate it when she calls me that.

"You can sleep with me," Claudia says as she shuts the T.V. off and lays onto me.

It's nothing like sleeping with Jen.

So I am turning this into a trilogy but I may make it longer than 50 chapters.

The 2nd book will continue with their complicated relationship and the 3rd will be about marriage and kids.
