calum walks in, looking at me sadly. "hey, luke. i missed you," he says and sits next to the window seat.

"missed you, too," i mumble, watching the cars down below.

"do you miss him?"

i laugh. "that's a stupid question. i'm dying without him."

"i'm sorry. i think this will be good for him," he tells me.

"how? he can't keep running away from his problems, cal. i at least face mine," i retort.

"and look where that got you. he's just taking a break."

"from me?!"

"calm down, luke. it's from everything. he doesn't deal with this stuff well," he tries to explain but i'm not listening.

ashton has to realize i need him or else i'm going to give up.
