"what do you mean he's scared of me?"
michael sighs and rests a hand on my arm. i don't have enough energy to flinch away. "luke, he's afraid. he knows that you tried to commit suicide and he thinks it's best if he's away for a bit."
"i attempted suicide because i've been away from him," i tell michael, trying not to cry. "i need him to be sane, mikey. i'm fading and i need him."
"he already bought a ticket. he has to go. he'll he back soon. do you want me to stay here?" he asks, pulling me into a hug. i latch onto his shirt and shake my head.
"ashton needs you. go with him," i sniffle. "calum can take care of me when i get out of here. you have to tell the doctors that he's gonna be the one visiting."
michael nods and we just sit there, me trying not to sob into his shoulder and him pretending not to be scared of what's going to happen to me.
