Chapter 34- Don't Say Goodnight
Two hours later, Liam was eating his second bowl of banana-split with chocolate sprinkles and extra whipped cream in the same ice-cream parlor where he kissed Niall's cheek for the firt time in front of Joel. Joel and Niall loves ice-cream, so it made him feel close by stuffing his face with ice-cream. It was such an odd sight; a tall bulky bloke with tattoos and piercings sitting in one of the booths enjoying ice-creams. Niall and Joel are probably out of surgery, and Liam had been texting his mother back and forth, wanting to know the latest update. She told him that Niall's brother and his friend, Harry come by, and as soon as Mrs. Malik saw Zayn, she slapped him on the cheek but hugged him seconds later.Fifteen minutes after his third bowl of banana-split, Liam got a call from his mother, and it wasn't a pleasant one like he expected it to be.
"Mom, calm down I can't understand what you're saying," Liam huffed.
"Niall's missing from his bed Liam!" Maura cried, "S-Someone took him from the temp-ICU room!"
Liam's phone dropped to the floor once the news were processed in his head.
Someone kidnapped Niall,.his angel.

It felt like a bad dream to Zayn when he entered Niall's temporary ICU room only to find it to be empty. The gurney where Niall was supposed to be on was missing too, and the IV stand and drip bag was on the floor. He was waiting for the doctors to give his family the green light to see his brother, but they were only met with the sight if an empty grey building. Doctors and nurses were seemed to be shocked by the sight too because they were panicking, alerting every nurse in the building and the security. Zayn could hear his mother sobbing into his father's shoulder. Yaser kept asking where his son is, furiously.
When Zayn walked into the hospital waiting room, where his parent were sitting and talking softly with a woman he had never seen before, he didn't expect for his mother to walked up to him and slapped him right across the face then proceeded to hug him. She whispered in his ear that she slapped him not because she was mad at him for last night's incident -making Niall chose between him and Liam-, but for not being here earlier for Niall. He was introduced to Liam's mother, Maura Payne, and he realized that Harry kept glancing at a brunette bloke leaning against the wall. When the boy finally lifted his head, he realized the boy is none other than Louis Tomlinson. Zayn decided not to confront him, yet that is.
Right after he left the parking lot of the bar with Harry, he felt a tad guilty for telling Liam to stay away from the hospital. He knows that it's useless now, by hook or by crook, sooner or later, he has to accept the fact that Liam is Niall's boyfriend. The sooner he swallows the truth, the sooner he can beg for forgiveness from Niall.
Nialler....
Zayn mentally shakes his head and congratulates his baby brother. He didn't know he had it in him and he really didn't know that big, bulky and tattoos are Niall's type. Then again, Zayn realizes that he might not know his brother as well as he thought. Sure he knows what kind of food Niall likes, what is his hobby, his pet peeves, favourite book and stuff, but he never really get to know what other teenage things that Niall likes. He kept treating him like a small fragile baby, protecting him from the world. He knew that his mother was right when she said Niall needs to learn somethings on his own and he knew that it would someday backfires him in the face. And that day would be today. What he did to Niall -making him choose between him and Liam- was absolutely unacceptable but even after all that Niall still wants him to be around for his surgery -based on what Liam had told him. But now, his brother practically vanished into thin air, making his heart beat erratically. The small temporary ICU room was getting stuffier by the minute, so Zayn immediately removed himself from the room, walking briskly in the hallways of the hospital.
