53. The Meeting

The sound of my alarm caused me to turn my head and look at the glowing numbers of 4:45. Reaching over, I turned the alarm off.

Tumayo na ako at naglakad papunta sa bathroom. I started my morning ritual, cleaned my teeth and brushed my long brown hair into ponytail.

I went to my walk-in closet pulling out my running pants, sports-bra and light hoodie. Sinuot ko ito agad at kumuha ng socks and running shoes.

I picked up my phone along with my wireless earbud. Naglakad na ako papunta sa kitchen habang nagba-browse sa playlist.

I picked up a watter bottle and drank half of it before placing it down and heading out of the building in which my Penthouse was a part of.

Matagal ko ng binili ang unit na iyon para sa pagbabalik ko. But then, kahapon lang ako nakalipat for some reasons.

Nang nasa baba na ako ay halos lahat ng staff ay binati ako. Isang tipid na ngiti naman ang sagot ko sa kanila.

I hit play of my running soundtrack and slide my phone into a hidden pocket of my pants then started to jog.

Isang oras ang nakalipas ay pabalik na ako sa bahay. Pumunta muna ako ng kusina at ininom ang kalahating tubig. Kumuha muna ako ng isang bottle bago umakyat sa kwarto.

I showered for another half an hour, blow dried my hair after, and got dressed for the day. I wore a black pencil skirt and nice white button up blouse with a black blazer.

Pagkatapos kong mag-bihis ay naglagay din ako ng konting make-up. Once I'm done, pumunta na ako sa baba and prepared myself a sandwich.

Today is the day, and I can no longer wait.

Today is my first day of work and I've never been more nervous for anything. Well, I shouldn't be, but since my dad is my boss, then that's kind of terrifying.

By 7:00 am, ready na ako. I wore my new clothes I bought last week. A nude tight pencil skirt and peplum top. And oh, a nude high heels, too!

I wanted a more natural look so I applied minimal make-up then threw my hair in a messy bun for a casual look.

I looked at myself one last time in the mirror. Well, I'm good to go!

Dala ko na ang mga kailangan ko kaya naglakad na ako papunta sa elevator. Good thing wala akong kasabay ngayon.

Nang nasa parking lot na ako ay dumerecho ako sa kotse ko. Medyo kinakabahan pa din ako kasi ngayon ako ipapakilala ni dad sa mga investors and board members.

Chillax, Isabella...

Ohh, shit! I forgot to text Dan. Mamaya nalang siguro pagdating ko sa VDC.

After 30 minutes ay papasok na ako sa parking lot ng building. Bigla naman nag-ring ang phone ko ng pasakay na ako sa elevator.

I automatically smiled when I saw her name on the screen.

"Hello?" Nakangiting bati ko sa kanya.

"Good morning, princess doll!"

I bite my lip. "Good morning, Dan."
