Roy Harper x reader

Y/n's pov

       I playfully ran my fingers through Roy's hair as he laid down on the bed on his stomach, "stop," he said muffled because of the pillow, "no," I said playfully and continued running my fingers through his hair, I stopped and saw all the scars Roy had on his back, I gently ran my fingers across some, "so many scars," I said softly "how can someone have this many?" Roy deeply sighed as if he were tired, "that's what you get if you're a hero," said Roy "you get injured but don't stop, get back up and save the day," "I'll keep that in mind," I said, I laid down on top of Roy's back and sighed, "I'm so lucky to have you," he said "why?" I asked "because you took me being Red Arrow so well, you patched me up every time I came back injured, you always cared about me. Most people just stare at me and try to get themselves famous or whatever but you, you just helped me out, I guess that's the reason why I fell in love with you," said Roy, he interlocked his hand with mine, "thank you," he said "you're welcome," I said, we stayed in silent for a bit, "do you want anything?" I asked "no, just this," Roy said "this is the only time I ever felt relaxed," I kissed Roy's cheek softly and laid down on his back again. 

       Because of his warmth, I fell asleep on his back. 

                                             *time skip* 

       A phone ringing caused me to wake up, Roy seems to wake up too, he must've fallen asleep as well. I reached over to grab the phone, "hello?" I said "Y/n? Is Roy there?" I heard Oliver asking "Roy? Yeah, he's here, why?" I replied, Roy plucked the phone out of my hand, "get some sleep, n/n, I'll handle this," said Roy, I nodded and laid back down while Roy left to talk to Oliver. 

Roy's pov

       "Really, Oliver?" I asked "look, this is important," said Oliver "the meta humans from Central City is clambering to Starling, we have to stop them," "why can't you and Dinah take care of this?" I asked "Roy, we can't do this alone," Oliver said, I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose while the other hand is holding the phone, "I can't just leave Y/n," I said "Roy, if the meta humans do get a chance to destroy Starling City there is a high chance that Y/n will be one of the victims to be claimed by death," Oliver said "do you really want that?" "no, I don't," I said "then get over here," said Oliver, he then hung up. 

       I walked back to the bedroom, I found Y/n still awake, "I heard everything," she said "well, on your side of course," I walked over to her and sat down on the bed, Y/n wrapped her arms around my waist and rested her chin on my shoulder, "what's wrong?" she asked, I gently pressed my lips against hers before answering, "meta human problems," "and you need to deal with them with Oliver," Y/n picked up "right," I said "Y/n, meta humans are dangerous, please, leave Starling while you can," I pleaded, I cupped my hand against her cheek, "Roy, I'm not leaving," said Y/n stubbornly, dang it Y/n, you have to be stubborn, "Y/n, please," I begged "I can't lose you," "and I can't?" Y/n asked "every time you leave for patrol I always grimace every time and hope that you come home in one piece. Every injury you bring back hurts me too," said Y/n, I pulled her onto my lap, "Y/n, meta humans are dangerous," I said "and you're putting yourself in it," Y/n said "I promise I'll come home safely," I said "you better," Y/n said and kissed me. 

       The next day, I'm ready to go, I gave her a 2 finger salute and I left. 

Y/n's pov

       Days have passed by and chaos have erupted, many people of Starling City are fleeing, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Red Arrow are taking care of them but they're not enough to take them by themselves. I was forced out of the apartment, I didn't have a choice nor did SCPD give me a choice. 

       I found myself with a group of children, "it's going to be okay," I said hugging a child, "it's going to be okay," I said, another explosion, I spotted Red Arrow taking out another meta human, he mouthed something to me, "go," I nodded "okay, everyone up," I said to the children, "hold hands, don't let go, and follow me," I said taking a hold of a child's hand, "are we good?" I asked, the children nodded, "okay, let's go," I said and moved forward, I led the children to the safest way that seemed safe to me, several police helped me on the way. 

       We reached somewhere safe, I spotted Red Arrow has fallen, he started picking himself up but a meta human is about to strike, I took the blow. 

Red Arrow's pov

       I saw Y/n thrown back, "Y/n!" I shouted, I shot an arrow at the meta human and ran towards her, I found her body, half of her body is burnt, "Y/n?" I asked pulling her onto my lap, "Roy?" she whispered "why did you do that?" I asked "because this city needs you," Y/n said "Roy, don't let anger control you, don't go for vengeance, Batman always said "justice not vengeance" to the new Robin all the time and I'm saying that to you now," said Y/n "don't go seeking for vengeance," "Y/n, please don't," I said my voice cracking "you just need help," I said "nobody can help me now," said Y/n "thank you for letting me love you," Y/n said "I love you," she whispered and she took her last breath, I buried my face into her torso, "Red Arrow!" I heard Green Arrow calling out but I didn't say anything, please, leave me alone, let me mourn in peace. 

Surprisingly I didn't cry while writing this, I wrote this during Charger Time, Charger Time is where you can get help from a teacher or go anywhere you want to go actually. If 3 of my friends saw me crying, 1 out of 3 will now what I'm crying over about. Vote, comment and request, I won't be doing a part 2 either.
