Chapter Nine: Move In Day

I walked into the kitchen to grab a beer out the fridge and a bag of chips from the cabinet.  I sat down on the couch and popped three chips into my mouth. "The fuck?" I said in disgust realizing they were stale. I spit them back into the bag, threw the bag in the trash, and went back into the theatre room. I've been in the house all day bored out of my mind. I already talked to Snoop, Cube, and Em but they all out with their families and shit. I flipped through all the movie channels, played my Xbox, smoked three blunts, and took a nap. I miss Toni man I ain't realize how boring my life was until she stopped coming around.

*KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!*

The doorbell rang bringing me out of my thoughts. "Who the hell knocking on my door this time of night?" I said out loud as I got up and peeked out the window and saw the cops sitting in my driveway. 

"I don't have time for this shit man." I sat my beer down and walked over to the front door "Who is it?" I yelled through the door

"It's me" a small voice responded

"Who's me?" I asked

"It's your wife now open the door!"

I quickly opened the door letting her inside "Toni what you doing over here this time of night? And why'd you bring them to my house?" I asked

"Who?" She asked confused

"The cops! You know they don't like me."

"Oh shoot I forgot about them hold on I'll be right back." She walked down the walkway back over to the cop car.

"Ms. Braxton are you okay here?" the cop asked

"Yes I'm fine. Thank you for bringing me over here. You guys have a good night." she said as the cop got in the car

"You as well. Be safe" they said as they drove off

Cop 1: "You know who's house we just dropped her to?" He asked as they pulled off driving down the street

Cop 2: "No why?"

Cop 1: "Look at this?" Shows him the information in computer database "You think there?" He questioned

Cop 2: "Nahhh he couldn't have pulled her it's impossible. They're from two totally different worlds"

Cop 1: "Well it's one in the morning and we did just drop her to his house. You never know man."

Toni walked back inside shutting the door behind her "Can I stay with you?"

"What happened?" I asked

"My house caught on fire."

"Oh shit you okay?"

"I'm here aren't I?" She replied sarcastically

"Don't be a smart ass I was just asking."

"Don't talk to me like that." She said rolling her eyes

"Ion have no problem with you staying here but why you ain't stay with one of your sisters or something?"

"Because I don't like Trina's husband so I'm not staying with her. Traci and Towanda both live in Atlanta that's too far and Tamar just got engaged so I didn't wanna bother her. Then I figured why not come here." She said shrugging her shoulders
