ELIJAH AND I LAID on his bed, me with my head at the foot of his bed and him vice-versa. We were listening to one of the vinyls that he'd bought in the city the other day and I wasn't sure how I felt about it yet.

"The Doors are timeless," Elijah told me. "Jim Morrison's voice just... It does things to me Dev."

"Why don't you marry the man?" I joked.

"I would if I could," he chuckled. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes so that the music could completely wash over me. I felt the bed shift as Elijah sat up properly, but I didn't open my eyes yet. "Do you want to know."

"Know what?" I mumbled.

"Why I'm hooking up with Kendall?" He checked. Before I could even think of an answer, the door flew open. I looked quickly and Isiah was standing in the doorway, a furious look in his eyes.

"You're hooking up with Kendall?" He demanded.

"Isiah," Elijah tried. I sat up and started to leave, because the absolute last thing I wanted was to be in the middle of their argument.

"Where are you going Devon?" He asked through gritted teeth.

"Home," I answered as calmly as I could. "This is between you and Elijah, not me."

"No, I think you should stay," Isiah suggested. It sounded a lot more like a threat than a suggestion though. "Elijah, tell me. Are you hooking up with Kendall or not?"

"I'm not going to lie to you," Elijah said. "I am. I was before I went away and I am again now. But Isiah, it's not like you're completely loyal to her either."

"Kendall is my girlfriend, you don't get to decide who she is with or who she fucks," Isiah spat.

"Just like you didn't have a right with Jessie and Vincent."

Isiah looked at me and I felt my heart sink.

"You looked me right in the eyes," I whispered. "You looked me in the face and lied to me!"

"Shut up Devon," he ordered me. "I'll deal with you later."

"Deal with me?" I scoffed. "I'm not your doll. You can't just put me aside and pick me up later. Did you sleep with my sister three years ago? Are you the reason that Vince and Jessie broke up? Did you ruin my brother's life?'

"Devon," he warned.

"I don't even know who you are," I frowned.

"Stop being a child," he hissed. "Maybe you should leave. The grown ups are talking."

I didn't have to be told again, I stomped out of their house and into my own. I slammed the front door behind me and sitting on the couch, cuddling into my brother, was Jessie.

"Devon?" Vincent frowned. I wanted to make Jessie leave, but I wasn't sure if Vincent knew the real reason they broke up.

Did I care though?

Jessie didn't deserve my brother, she was nothing but a cheater. But you know who else was  cheater?

Elijah.

I ignored Vincent and stomped up to my room. I grabbed my pillow and screamed into it. I wanted to do more than scream though. I wanted to punch a wall and throw all of my clothes out of my window.

I was so angry.

My door opened and Elijah was standing there. The sight of him was only making me angrier.

"Get out of my room," I hissed.

"What the fuck Devon?" He demanded. "I didn't do anything wrong."
