"How are we doing on that space we talked about?" I asked my secretary.

"Good. It's all ready, sir. I think Ms. West will love the place," he said.

"Good. I'll let you know when I'm taking her."

"Yes, sir."

I ended the call with a satisfied smile.

She'll fight me about the place, I know it, but I'm sure she'll love it. It was everything she dreamed of, so a little heat from her will all be worth it in the end.

"Hey, I'm leaving now," Red said, peeking into my office.

I smiled and pushed off the chair.

"Jack is ready, waiting for you," I said.

"It's really not necessary. I can take a cab or I can..."

"Red, we've talked about this. Besides, he won't allow it either," I said.

She scowled. "But..."

"Red, we've talked about security in this family. I need you safe, besides, the paparazzi are everywhere. I don't want them hounding you. After all, we're apparently the next couple to watch out for," I said, holding up the magazine with the two of us on the cover page.

She sighed. "You do look quite handsome in that picture..." She grumbled.

I gave her a droll look. "Just quite?"

She rolled her eyes.

"Just call him when you're ready to leave and he'll pick you up," I said. "Dad's sending someone to protect and drive you around by next week, so for now, I'm willing to share my most trusted driver and bodyguard."

"How nice of you," she narrowed her eyes at me.

I laughed. "Now come here and give me a kiss goodbye," I said.

She crossed her arms across her chest and tapped her foot.

I chuckled.

She scowled at me. "You know I don't do well with commands."

I nodded. "Yes, I do," I resigned, as I walked towards her. "But admit it, you find it sexy," I said, wiggling my eyebrows.

Her mouth twitched with amusement.

I knew it. She does like my high-handed ways.

I smiled and leaned in to kiss her. "Have fun tonight," I said against her lips.

She nodded. "I will. Oh and I cooked your favourite," she said.

"Thanks, Red. Now come, I'll walk you out," I said.

"Sir. Ms. West," Jack nodded, as he opened the door for Katherine.

He then walked back to the driver's side to give us some privacy.

"Don't take too long to come home to me," I said softly.

She smiled. "I won't. I'll be back before you know it."

"I love you," I said kissing her again.

"Love you too," she said with a smile before climbing inside the car.

I watched as the car drove away with a grin on my face.

Oh man, I've got it bad.

Katherine

"So... Did the boys say where they're going?" Katie asked.

"Apparently their meeting up at the bar to catch up and drink a few beers. I told Allan, he needed to make themselves scarce."
