She spread her wings that day

Seven years ago I must say

She didn’t say a word

She watched as she grew her wings

As she flew away

She couldn’t but think

That this is day

This is the day

That I have to go

I don’t want to leave any of you

But the pain is gone

This weak

Body of mine

I’ll leave it here

And disperse my spirit through your minds

On that September day

The nineteen we remember

That she spread her wings

And flew

One day I’ll meet up with again

I’ll have a pair of wings on my back near my shoulder blades

I’ll be able to see you again

And one of my wondrous friends

  Trust me

I didn’t want you to go

I miss you very much so

I wish I could know

Why you left me then

But it’s been seven years

So I’ll just go with the flow…

I want her to meet you

I want to show you to them

The important people

Who have changed my life since

Even if we’re not close

Anymore

I’d like them to know

That they helped me through and though

For the time that you gave them

They entered my life

They gave a reason

As I searched for myself

Not knowing that it’d be years till I found a clue

They helped me

Every step of the way

Without you

I had them

But you were still in my heart

The thought of knowing that you were gone

Spread tears us all

This family

That was broken anyway

You were the glue

That held us together

And without you

Chaos came to us whether

We liked it or not

We don’t even have them anyway.

It seems like they ran away

Ones across the seas
