Liberate myself from these chains
I want my freedom
Liberate me from all this pain
But
I don’t want anything new.
Liberate me
Set me free
I want me freedom
Leave me be
By law will chained
But these locks will break
No matter what
They say I’m free
Free more than most
But even so
I don’t feel the flow
I truly do not have freedom
Free me
Age to be
But more responsibility
So really
Am I set free
In a country that says so
Yet still has chains
I guess it’s not as bad
To say that I’m free when I’m not
But if you look at it
I’m not free
No one is free
We have choices
But we don’t have freedom
Freedom
Laws
Prison
Sure?
I don’t think so.
To be raised with freedom
Is to be raised without restriction
And that—
We can’t have
So I’m okay
I know we don’t have freedom
And that’s fine with me
With age come liberation
Although
New chains and locks will be placed
We move freely
Partly
But are constricted under some oaths
Laws
There are some out there
That I don’t understand
Some out there
That don’t apply to me
But there are those out there
That I know I’ve broken
So does this mean my chain hold me strong?
Free me
From these chains
But these chains seem to be breathing
And holding me into place
“This is where you belong in the world.” They seem to say
“Let. Freedom. Ring.”
