24. Teddy

Jason's POV

She hasn't said a single word so far. And this time, again, she nodded. Why, God, why? Everything was fine!

Me: baby... don't be scared. I won't hit you. I promise.

She just nodded again. Now, her nothing is getting annoying.

Me: just... go...

She nodded and went in. I mumbled.

Me: thought everything was perfect...

I called my mom.

Mom: hello?

Me: hey mom...

Mom: sweetie, what's wrong? You sound... down.

Me: I slapped selena.

Mom: she kinda deserved it...

I smiled. But frowned again.

Me: and Honey saw it. Now, she's afraid of me.

I heard her gasp.

Me: what am I suppose to do?

Mom: what am I suppose to say?

Me: um... that's everything's gonna be alright?

Mom: I don't wanna lie, dear. But if that makes you feel better, everything's gonna be alright.

I rolled my eyes.

Mom: you know her more than I do. You'll come up with something... but, I gotta go. Bye!

Me: b-

She hung up. I smiled. My mom's phone calls always end like this...

I knocked on your bedroom door.

Me: baby? Baby girl?

No response. I just opened the door and walked in. I saw Honey in the corner, hugging her knees. It broke my heart although that wasn't the first time I saw her like that.

Me: about that concert...

She smiled. One point for me!

Me: you don't have to naked. I'll just sing for you. Do me a favor and sit on the couch for me?

Her smile never left as she sat on the couch. Another point for me! I decided to start singing whatever sings hit my head. And the first song was Ne Alright. As I started singing, Honey relaxed. I don't know if it's the song or if it's me singing.

Honey's POV

I relaxed as Justin started singing. I think him siging Be Alright did it. When he was over, I was almost crying. Then, he sang Pick Me. Oh my God, he sounded perfect. Soon, songs came out and he started singing First Dance. He stretched out his arms, and I took it. He smiled. We started dancing to the song and the lyrics.

When the song ended, his lips lowered to my ears.

Jay: I would never hurt you intentionally, babe.

I nodded.

Me: I know...

He smiled and kissed me. I didn't let him go any further. He pouted.

Me: every time I let the kiss deepen, we end up naked.

He chuckled.

Jay: but Kenan disturbed us last time!

I giggled.

Me: not today, though. You have an apology to give.

His jaw dropped.

Jay: but she had it coming! Even my mom agrees!
