*Cici's P.O.V*

Three alarms went off simultaneously at six thirty.
Jazzy's was playing her least favorite song, and was across the room, which gave her the motivation to get up, run and turn it off.
Anthony's was just a standard beep, but after ten beeps it said "GET YOUR BUTT OFF THAT BED AND INTO YOUR CLOTHES."
Mine was The Club from In the Heights, courtesy of the writer and creator of the show. The sharp note scared me and got me up.
"Do I have to put a dress on right now?" I asked, falling back on the bed. Anthony took all the blankets and tossed them off of my bed.
"Yeah, I know babe, it sucks, but I gotta put one on too, so let's do this." Jazzy yawned, fumbling around in her suitcase for her dress.
"Ladies, give me your dresses so I can iron them." Anthony said, pulling out the iron and ironing bench.
Jazzy and I threw him our dresses, and I sat down on the bed, Jazzy behind me. She grabbed a brush and started to run it through my hair.
"This is a really cute picture don't move." Anthony said suddenly, jumping up. He pulled out his phone and took a picture of us.
"Hey, Jazz, did you plug my iPad in last night?" I asked as she finished my hair.
"Yeah, why do you need it again?" She asked, shedding her pajamas and slipping on her dress. She looked gorgeous already, and she still had the "Just out of bed" look.
"Because my speech is on it, and I didn't have the chance to memorize it. And I'm nervous as hell so I want to have it in front of me." I said, quickly putting my dress on as Anthony went into the bathroom to shave.
"Your speech is going to be great!" Anthony yelled from the bathroom.
We went downstairs little later, meeting everyone in our private breakfast room.
"Your iPad case matches your outfit." Jon commented as he sat down on my left. Lin sat in my right.
"Good morning to you too, dad." I responded, leaning over to kiss both Lin and Jon on the cheeks.
"How exciting is this! We get to preform for the president and lots of exciting people and Cici gets to give a speech-"
"Don't bring that up." I cut Renée off, who immediately ran over to give me a half hug.
"Babe! You're going to be great. You're a fantastic writer and it's gonna be so amazing to hear you." Daveed said, sitting down with his plate full of food
"Aren't you guys nervous too?" I asked, twisting the hem of my dress. Yes, I loved performing and speaking, but my stage fright was so real.
"Of course, but, remember, we know we can do this. And a little orphan is the one who keeps reminding us that..." Pippa said.
"Annie! Tomorrow, tomorrow!" I joked.
We ate breakfast (three slices of pineapple) then got on the bus to ride to the White House. Outside we took a couple pictures before we were quickly brought inside. My heart was pounding as we all stood in a line, the President and First Lady walking up the line to greet everyone.
"Lin, it's so nice to see you again!" Mrs. Obama said happily. I stood between him and Jon, my hands holding theirs.
"It's very nice to see you too, Mrs. Obama." Lin greeted politely. He talked to her and President Obama before he suddenly turned to me.
"And this is my foster, soon to be adoptive daughter." Lin introduced. He and Jon exchanged a quick glance before turning back to me. "Ceci, say hello."
I took a deep breathe to steady myself. "President and Mrs. Obama. It's so amazing to meet you." I said, shaking their hands. "I'm Cecilia Rodriguez. I'm the lucky person who gets to give the welcoming speech after the President.
"I'm looking forward to your speech. Lin says that you have a gift with words." President Obama said.
It took everything in me not to scoff. "Thanks, papi." I said to him and the Obamas laughed and moved to Jon.
We all shuffled into the room where we would be performing. The president opened up at the podium, and I felt Lin squeeze my hand as people started to clap.
It was my turn.
