Kylies POV

After another hour of driving Dave announced we were almost there.

About ten minutes later we enter a large freeway with at least six lanes. I look around, turning in my seat to glance out the window when I see a big sign saying 'Welcome To Los Angeles'.

My eyes got big and my mouth dropped. No way!! We're moving here?!

"Yup!" Dave answered.

I didn't even realize I had spoken out loud. My excitement made Kim move up surprised and scared. When Kim woke up she was practically jumping in her seat asking me where we were and why I was excited.

I have always loved the city. Something about it made me smile, and reminded me of almost a home I never really had. I'm more than shocked as to why Dave would even think about moving here.

"How?... Why?..." I asked to no one in particular trying to form questions that some one could answer. We could never afford to live here!!

"A friend offered me and Jake a job to help us get back on our feet. They even gave us a apartment to stay in" Dave said.

I didn't comment back to what he said. I tried hiding my excitement as I pulled out my ear phones and closely watched every building we passed.

Kim kept pulling my sleeve but I couldn't keep my eyes away from the window, hoping that we could finally find a good place to start. A place where I could finally belong, a place where my dreams could finally come true.

The one thing I forgot about that was a pain in the butt was the traffic, we were stuck in the same place for about five minutes! No movement! Just the radio, honking, and a whole lot of yelling.

By the time we pulled onto the side of a huge building with the moving van behind us, it had been close to an hour. Everyone stared up in awe, we haven't seen so many huge buildings.

As Dave found a parking space under the building, Jake and Kim stepped out with me to get a head start. I glanced up at the glass building. Everything looked so fancy, almost to unreal for my unperfected hands.

We walked in feeling the warmth against my cold skin and I couldn't help but let my mouth hang open.

The walls were huge with chandlers hanging on the ceilings shining so beautifully with a yellow glow making everything look shinny, new, and beautiful.

The carpet was a dark scarlet with specks of black, with skinny pillers in the middle of the huge lobby looked like they were made of marble and gleamed happily. The air smelled of fresh food but also a tint of perfume that made you want to inhale a deep breath and never release it.

We were greeted when we entered by almost all employees that saw us with a warm smile, like we actually mattered. Kim was as shocked as me as I picked her up to make sure she didn't run off.

A man came with a large luggage cart and took our bags; also kindly escorted us to our floor!! Our freaking floor!! He kindly explained that there were four master bed rooms that were preselected to fit us. They also had a kitchen prepared to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner at anytime we just had to dial 2 on the line.

The big elevator was packed with all our stuff including us leaving us enough room to breath. Kim couldn't hold still in my arms, Jake was laughing with excitement, and Dave kept saying " I told you so!". I just stood there, too shocked at everything that was being thrown at us. There had to be a catch! Maybe were in the wrong building! Or they confused us with someone else? Dave couldnt have done this for us, he doesn't do that!

I watched as we passed the floors lighting up on top of the silver doors, the numbers of floors we passed as we rose lighting a white glow. Silently in my head I counted along, 11,12, 13, 14, 15 *Ding*. The doors opened and we all ran in unlocking the door. We first enter the living room, it was huge with black leather couches and the biggest tv I have ever seen!
