Chapter 17

Skylar's POV

Its January second and I have Stacie, Mary, Jayde, Bentley, and Melanie.

I got to see James and he wants to see me more often and he wants to meet his sisters. I think that's cool. I mean I don't want him back but, I would like more visits.

Oh and we are having a house built a way bigger house.

I get out of bed and I take a quick shower. I get out and my phone starts ringing. I answer it and it on the bed.

" Hello?" I say.

" Hi is this Skylar Evans?" Someone asks.

" yes, who is this?" I ask.

" I'm Sierra, I work at the hospital. We, Have a Amanda Geller here" she replies.

" okay ill be right there " I reply.

I hang up and call Jesse while I throw on a shirt, Shorts, and boots. I throw my hair in a messy bun and I get the girls watching Glee.

I get Melanie and put her in her swing.

There's knocks on the door and I let them in.

" I'm going to come with you" Jesse says and I nod. I grab my keys and get in the car. He gets in and I drive to the hospital.

I get there in like ten minutes. We, Valet my car and I go inside.

" Amanda Geller" I say.

" second floor third door on the right" she says and I run up the stairs with Jesse. I find the room and I go inside where there's two officers.

" what's going on?" I ask.

" are you Skylar Evans?" She asks.

" yeah I am" I reply.

" I'm officer Berry. Mrs. Geller was in a bad car accident. She, has hit on the passenger side and the car flipped and everything. Her husband died on impact and she just passed away. She put you for her her twins care. You now have full custody of Erica and Jase" she replies and I start crying. My knees are feeling weak and I can't breathe.

" Skylar?" Jesse says and I just walk out. I fall to the ground and just cry. Jesse, comes out and sits down and holds me.

" its going to be okay" he says.

" she was my best friend. She, helped me through everything and I lost her. Erica and Jase lost their mom and dad. It hurts so bad. She, was fine last night and now she's gone. Just take me home please" I reply and he helps me up.

We, leave and he takes me home. I pick up Melanie. I hold her and cry.

" are you okay?" Katie asks.

" hell no.... Look I just need help right now with all these kids. " I reply.

We, hear a knock and its CPS. They, give me Erica and Jase and I put " My babysitters a vampire" on and I go into the kitchen. I call my parents and tell them about Amanda.

We, were really close. We, have known each other forever. Oh and I got promoted to manager of the uncover agency.

I lay on the couch with Melanie on my chest.
