Chapter 10

Diamond’s POV

 

“Hi, Xavier!”

 

Agad kong binati si Xavier nang makalapit ako sa table na kinauupuan niya. He’s wearing a blue shirt and a blue faded jeans. Napansin ko ding magulo ang buhok niya. Hindi pa yata siya nakakapag suklay, and I feel sorry for that.

Tinanguan niya lang ako at sinenyasan na maupo. Actually, I forgot to tell you guys that he’s a grumpy man. Ewan ko nga bakit naging kaibigan ko ito, eh allergic yata toh sa tao.

As what he said, naupo na ako sa katapat na upuan niya.

“So, what’s your job for me?”

Ito pa pala, masiyadong straight forward si Xavier. He said that every seconds in time is important. He don’t want to waste any of his time doing non-sense things.

“Okay, I want you to find out the person behind my cousin’s suffering.”

 

Sabi ko sa kanya. Nakita kong kumunot ang noo niya at nagsalubong ang kilay niya.

“Emerald?” tanong niya na may halong pagka-disgusto sa boses

“Uh-huh.” sabi ko sabay cross legs

“You know I can’t do it.”

 

“She needs your help, Xavier.” sabi ko sa nakikiusap na tono ng boses

Tumawa siya ng pagak. Yung tawa na sarkastiko.

“Help? From me? Are you insane Dia? The great Emerald needs a help? That’s the most stupid thing that I heard this day!” sabi niya tapos tumawa pa siya ng sarkastiko

“Damn it, Xavier! She needs us, she needs a help! Now, if you will just continue laughing like an idiot there, then I must find another P.I!”
