Fancy You

©2006, Olan L. Smith

Would that I knew you when

Time was new

And I young with vigor's virtuousness—

To walk a trail least traversed

Or wander through mountain paths.

We would mosey

Blazing—

If we must

A journey all our own.

But now that time is neither young nor old

And I not so youthful or vigorous—

The trace I prefer is lightly traveled.

All the same—

I still fancy you.
