Green Eyes
©1976, Olan L. Smith
The sparkle of your sundry-hued eyes
Is like moist gleaming spheres,
Brightening lights causes their ebony to dwindle,
Your flecked iris' are speckled
With amber flakes of turquoise,
Burgeon—
I dim the lights
And witness
Ebon pupils nudging raw-sienna
And cerulean blues to brink of whiteness
Amazing me,
For in your eyes—
I see my reflection.
