Chapter 23 : Helpless Night

Jessica ran down the stairs from her room.

"Oppa! Eeteuk-oppa!" she called Eeteuk.

Eeteuk was watching a TV show with Siwon, "yeah?"

"My orphanage! My orphanage is on fire!"

Eeteuk raised his hand and danced, "wohoo! Saturday night! What are they playing?"

"No! It's burning! Someone burned my orphanage!"

"What!?"

"I need to go now, I have to see if everyone okay," Jessica panicked.

"Who told you?" Eeteuk asked.

"Yoona, my sister's friend, she called me. Seohyun's in the hospital right now. I got to go," Jessica ran to the kitchen, pushed the door open and walked

to the gazebo.

"Yoona?" Eeteuk followed her.

Yuri was at the gazebo, eating sandwich.

"Where are you going now?" she asked coldly.

Jessica ignored her.

"I asked you a question!" she yelled.

"I don't have time for you right now," Jessica's face was full with worries and her voice trembled.

Yuri didn't ask more, she just watched Jessica walked to the prairie.

"Her orphanage was burn down," Eeteuk explained.

"Her 'what' was 'what'!?" Yuri didn't believe her ears.

"Her orphanage. You should go with her, Yuri," Eeteuk gave a push on Yuri's back.

Yuri watched Jessica turned to lightning and soared to the night sky.

"Should I?"

"Yeah."

"But she hates me for what I said," Yuri curled her lips.

"Trust me. She needs you now."

"No, I don't think so," Yuri shook her head.

"No, no. I really think you need to be with her."

"Why?"

"Yoona."

"Yoo--? Isn't that the name of--?"

"She's Jessica's sister's friend, apparently. I doubt she will do something reckless but still, you should go just in case."

Yuri quickly jumped down from the gazebo, ran across the plain and blasted to the sky.

Eeteuk sighed, "so the enemy is so much closer than I think. What a twisted world we're living in."

Jessica landed at an empty parking lot near the hospital, making a crack on the asphalt when she did. Then, Yuri landed beside her. Jessica looked at

Yuri, but said nothing.

Yuri followed Jessica to the hospital, went inside the front gate, passed the reception desk and found Yoona.

"Yoona!" Jessica came up to her.

Yuri flinched.

Yoona.

"Unnie, you're here," Yoona hugged Jessica.

"Where's Seohyun? Mother?"

"Seohyun is in the room at the end of the corridor, Mother is there," Yoona pointed to the last room.
