Chapter 14 - Lucy & Carlos

"Bailey!" I called running up to her.

"Lucy!”She called back all smiles.

"So how was it?"

"Last night?" Then add "Well, it good, he was different."

"Wait, are you starting to like him."

"Only as a friend." She smiled at me.

I can say this, as a dancer she's amazing and smart, but I'm starting to question her judgment when it comes to guys.

"You know he's the school's player right?"

"As you have stated at less a million times."

"Just..."

"I'm being careful." She said as we headed off to class.

Lucy and Bailey walked in together and if they were walking down a street people would have guessed they have been friends for years. Lucy locked eyes with me sending me a smile witch made me smile. If I was superman, she could be easily become Kryptonite; my weakness. She already is, in many ways, but she doesn't know it.

I headed for lunch when I over voices coming from the guys changing room.

"The bet is almost over." I heard a well known voice speaking.

"Yea, and Bailey is almost mine." I heard Jamie says.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Well, I mean I can believe because it's Jamie, this is no surprise to me. They pull the door open and at first they were surprised to see me there.

"Um, hey man." Said Cole.

"Hey man, to you guys." I said, raising my eyebrows at them.

"Did you hear...?” I cut Jamie off.

"I didn't hear anything." I lied.

Walking off I yelled back.

"You better tell her or I will." I hear him curse a few unfriendly words.

Carlos looked like he was about to kill someone.

"I'll be right back." I said to Bailey.

She nodded her head as I took off towards Carlos.

"You okay?" I ask.

"Lucy, you'd not believe what I just heard." He said.

My eyes widen, as I'm a bit of a sucker for gossip.

"Who's knocked up?" I ask him.

He smiles a little, then seems to remember what he was going to say. He looked around then pulled me off to the side. He told me about overhearing Jamie and Cole.

"Oh, I'm going to kill him." She said taking off.

I took hold of her arm; stopping her.

"I am taking care of it." I said, looking right into her eyes.

"How?" "I told Jamie to tell her or I will."

"Do you think he will?"

"Come on, it’s Jamie." I said letting go of her arm.
