Linh kissed me. She told me she loved me and kissed me. My life couldn't get much better. But it could get worse.
Eliza cleared her throat and said as we broke apart, "sorry to interrupt, but I need to know; are you with me or not?"
Linh looked at me. I could tell she hated the idea, but what I didn't know was why? Why run away when all they want is to protect her just as Tam-
And it hit me. She hated it because it was supposed to be Tam's job.
"Wait, Eliza," I started having an idea. "What if I start it, and Linh can wait until I can give her good feedback?"
I looked at Linh. She didn't seem too keen on it, but she couldn't exactly tell me what to do. Then I looked back at Eliza, who nodded, "that might work, but... My supervisor might not like it."
"Well, how long did they give you to recruit her," I asked.
"2 months."
"So we still have almost a month. Trust me, if it's right, I'll convince her," I smirked at Linh, "she just proved that."
She tried to glare at me, but her slight hint of a smile betrayed her. My gosh, she was beautiful.
