monday

we rode at full speed, the windows propped open, allowing the breeze to caress our faces.

it was freezing, but the vibes were the best thing ever. just me and my other half. my soulmate, my twin flame, my lover

i watched as she tucked her hands in the pocket of her true black, gap zip up. she wore a pine green top under and some random necklaces

ever since she came to my house, if i get the time frames right, she started to wear gold jewelry. it looked so beautiful on her, it matched her skin complexion perfectly

we were matching today because her threes came in. and she's been obsessing over them, swiping off any speck of dirt she saw on it.

i wore a dark green pro club tee and my own true black gap jacket. we both wore a pair of medium wash levis, which did match very well

the wind moved her hair, so it swung behind her in midair. i saw her attempt to keep it down, bothered by the fact but i kept accelerating so her hair would never stay down

she looked so beautiful like that, like an angel. something majestic.

i'm so lucky to have her in my life, and i never wanna let her go. even if i tried to, i honestly couldn't, im in too deep

not that im complaining

100 shots by young dolph came on and i turned the volume all the way up. this the song you can never skip and it'll never get old

"ooo i know this word for word," janae said, shifting in her seat.

"bar for bar," i chimed in.

the bass vibrated the car, and every pavement we passed by. that was my goal

"aye put it down. you never read dear martin?" janae reached to put the volume down but i swatted her hand away

"naw. what it about?"

"this black guy got shot and killed by this white man because he had his music too loud."

"oh."

"oh," she repeated, sitting back in her seat, putting her window down, peering out the window catiously

you can take the girl out the suburbs, but you can't take the suburbs out the girl

i sucked my teeth. "yolo."

"just put it down a little," she told me, caressing my back in a circle. she reached over to kiss me on the lips, the cheek, behind me ear, to my nape. her vanilla scent invaded my nostrils, overriding my senses enough for me to reach to my stereo

"only a little?" i confirmed, turning the dial the other way, to put it down

a little was a lot, i could hear it well but if a car got next to us they probably wouldn't hear it.

that was probably janae's goal but not mine

she pulled away, satisfied. "thank you, babe."

"mmhm." ain't no way i allowed myself to get seduced like that.

i reached over to put it back up, seeing i wasn't getting my reward anymore before she slapped my hand, hard. it even starting turning red under my tats

"bruh, ja, you ain't have to do that," i told her, massaging my hand.

she took it in her own hands, circling it with her finger as she did with my back. "i just want to be safe, okay? i don't mean to be overbearing."
