Chapter Eighteen

Daniel

I woke up around 11am & saw sierra asleep next to me. She saw me staring at her & smiled, "Good morning" she said. "Morning." I replied. Today was our last day on the ship, we packed all our things & waited to be let off. "I'm ready to talk about it." I said. "Didn't Matt already tell you." She replied. "I wanna hear your version." I said, "did he really force you?" I asked. "I guess I'll tell you the truth. I mean I have nothing to lose anymore unless I haven't lost you yet." She teared up. "So the night before my birthday when I came back to bed & you asked me where I went I lied, well I did go for a walk but I went with Matt. We went swimming, he tried to kiss me but I pulled away." She paused. "Continue." I said. "So then yesterday when you showered he asked to go for a walk and I said no. But he said he wanted to talk so I agreed. He kissed me & I didn't pull away at first but then I slapped him. I told him it was wrong & I ran back here & hugged you, I felt horrible. After you fell asleep he returned and I pulled in the bathroom to talk. I apologized for slapping him but I also told what he did was wrong. He told me i right & then said he wanted to kiss me goodbye because him & Grace are moving once we return home. I wasn't thinking & so I let him kiss me, & that's when you walked in." She finished in tears, "I'm really sorry Daniel. I love you & I don't know why I did that. But you can't be mad you did the same thing." I stared at her, she had a point but it was still wrong. "Thank you for telling me the truth. I don't think we are meant to date. We clearly can't stay committed to each other, i think it's best to stay friends." I said. She cried & nodded her head, "I think that's what's best."

We flew home in silence, & got an uber home. We told my mom the whole story & she also thought it was best sierra & i stayed friends. "I have a surprise for you Daniel. I think you're going to want Sierra there for this." My mom smiled. I arrived at my house & we walked up to my room. I opened the door, "Sam!" I screamed & gave him a hug. "Long time no see!" Sam hugged back. "What's up Sierra, how've you been?" he did some sort of handshake with her.

When we arrived at Daniels house his friend, Sam, was on the bed waiting for him. "When did you get here?" Daniel asked him. "Yesterday. I'm staying here for a while, i got enrolled to the same school!" Sam replied. "Really? That's awesome!" I haven't seen him this happy about anything in a really long time.

"Aye Sierra, your boy here has told me a lot about you." Sam winked. I smiled & looked away. "Did I say something i wasn't supposed to?" Sam asked confused. "No. It's just, we broke up." I said. "Oh sorry. You seem hella chill tho, we should hang out often." he said. "Yeah for sure!" I laughed. "Well Sierras family is out of town so she's staying here the rest of the week." Daniel told Sam. "this should be fun!" Sam smiled & looked at both of us.

We set up an inflatable bed. "Sam & I will sleep on this, Sierra you can sleep on my bed."Daniel said. I was confused as in why he wasn't gonna be sleeping with me. "How come you're not sleeping on the bed too? We always sleep together." I asked confused. "I don't think it's a good idea." Daniel said, "Well i'm gonna shower, don't have too much fun with out me!" he walked to the bathroom. It made me upset that we won't sleep together, it was our thing. "Hey don't be sad. He loves, regardless if you are dating or not." he smiled. "I know. But we've been through a lot & I think this time It won't be the same." I teared up. Sam hugged me, "it's okay. I've known him for a a while now, he's never been this crazy about anyone before." Sam reassured me. "So how did you two meet?" I asked. "Well I actually met him a couple years ago on tour. I know it hasn't been that long but we are like brothers." he said. "Where are you from?" I asked. "Omaha, Nebraska." He said proudly. "Haha cool. I have family there." I grinned. "Wow really? Maybe we knew each other when we were younger." joked. "you never know." we both got startled by daniel opening the door.

"Do you guys wanna order a pizza or something? I'm starving!" Daniel tossed me the phone. "Sure. I'll order." I dialed pizza hut. "Hi, thanks for calling Pizza Hut, what would you like to order?" the lady asked. "Hey, I'll like to order a large pizza, half pepperoni -" i looked at sam, "what do you want?" I asked. "I want pineapple" Sam said. "Wow really? Me too!" I sounded more exited than i meant to. "half pineapple." I said. "Is that is?" The lady asked. "Yes." I replied, "okay it will be $14, it will be delivered in 30 min." She said. I gave her our address then hug up. It was 10:30 pm. We couldn't really do anything because it was cold so Sam & I just talked, surprisingly we had a lot in common.

Our pizza arrived & we ate it all, by then it was 12am. Daniel fell asleep but Sam & I were wide awake. "Wanna go in the hot tub?" I asked him. "Yeah sure! Maybe it will help with jet lag." He said. We put out swim suits on & silently walked to the back yard. We sat in the hot tub in silence & just relaxed. "So when's the next tour?" I asked Sam. "This summer. I'm super excited!" He said. "Maybe I'll come again, it was really fun." I told him. "Yeah i hope you can! You're cool to hang out with, we have a lot in common. I'm kinda sad we didn't talk at the last tour." He said. "Yeah! I mean between you and me, you're pretty cool, cooler than Daniel" I laughed. "Haha. He's not gonna like that." Sam smiled. We didn't even realize we had been taking for almost two hours so we decided to go back to Daniels room. We both got changed, I put on sweatpants & a t-shirt. Sam only had his basketball shorts on & no shirt. I was going to lay on the bed when I realized Daniel fell asleep on it. "Great. Where am I supposed to sleep?" I whispered. "Well if you want to you can sleep on the inflatable bed & I'll sleep on the floor." Said Sam. "No are you crazy? scoot over we are sharing the bed." I said. We both laid down & fell asleep right away.
