Liam's pov

We have just started our take me home tour. It is about 3am. I get woken up by my phone ringing. I quickly answer it and I say quietly "Just give me one minute. I don't want to wake up the other boys." I quietly walk into the main area of the bus and I take my phone away from my ear and see my mum rang me. I put my phone to my ear and say "Hi mum. Sorry it is really early here." My mum says sounding like she has been crying "I know I'm sorry Liam. I didn't mean to wake you but you deserve to know this now. It's Jack. Just heard from his mum. He got into a car crash late last night. His injuries are so severe that he didn't make it."

Tears start to well up in my eyes he was my best friend at school. He stayed by me even when people started bullying me. My mum says "Li darling. Talk to me what's going through your head." I shake my head and say "No it can't be true. He's not dead mum." My mum says "I'm so sorry sweetie but it is true." I let out a sob and my mum says "Oh honey I wish I could be there with you right now. I'm sorry I had to tell you over the phone. You just deserved to know what has happened to him." I say after calming myself down a bit "It's alright mum. I'm going to go back to bed now." My mum says "Alright darling. Give me a call later. I am always here for you. Get some more rest" I nod and say "Speak to you later." I end the call and I flop down on my front and I sob into the sofa hoping that the sound is muffled thinking about all my memories with Jack.

Harry's pov

I get woken up by Liam's phone ringing. Be answers it and says quietly "Just give me one minute. I don't want to wake up the other boys." He leaves the bunk room. I am quite worried about him. He never gets called when we would be sleeping. His family is normally pretty good at checking the world clock before ringing. Get out of bed and go to the door and I listen to see if he is alright. I hear him say "No it can't be true. He's not dead mum." Then a sob followed by some more. He slowly calms down and I hear him say "It's alright mum. I'm going to go back to bed now." Then after a couple of seconds "Speak to you later." Before I hear muffled sobs. I really wanna know if he is alright but at the same time I don't know if he will want someone there or not

I decide to go out to see if he is alright. I quietly leave the bunk room and go into the main area of the bus and I see Liam face down sobbing into the sofa. I don't want to make him jump I say softly "Li, what's wrong why are you sad?" Liam looks up at me and wipes his eyes and say shakily "I'm fine you can go back to bed if you want." He looks away from me and I say "Li I'm worried about you babe, what's wrong?" Liam starts sobbing. I sit on the sofa next to him and I hug him. He curls up on my lap and sobs into my chest. I hold him as he sobs. After about 20 minutes I look down and see that Liam is fast asleep curled up on me. I carefully grab the blanket and I pull it over us and I lay down with Liam and I fall asleep myself.

A few hours later still Harry's pov

I get woken up by Liam having a nightmare. I sit up and I try and wake him. I say "Li babe wake up." I gently shake him. He says "Jack no don't leave me, you are my best friend please don't leave me." I instantly feel bad I know that Liam and Jack are best friends. He is an amazing human who likes everyone. We have only met him a handful of times but from the few times we have spent together he seemed lovely. By the sounds of it he could be dead. I shake him again and say "Li baby wake up for me." Liam shoots awake with a sob. He says "Hazza bear, Jack is gone" and he sobs more. I rub his back and I respond "I'm so sorry Li bear. How did he pass?" I kiss him on the forehead and hold him tight. Liam sobs more and says "C...ca...carrrr cccraaasshhhh. Mmmy mumm told mee earlierr." I instantly hug him tighter and kiss his head. I say over his sobs "Hey, shh. We will always be here for you baby." Liam just continues to sob. I start singing
