Chapter 19

"There she is." Brooke smiled as Millie ran into the shop looking flustered.

"I know... I'm late again, and we still haven't finished..." Millie trailed off as calliope began speaking

"The inventory. I also found that shipment that went missing in New Mexico, balanced the register from yesterday, and took the liberty of ordering some Bellissimo fabrics from Milan." She says all in one breath, before turning to Brooke . "You're gonna love them." She attempts shaking Brookes hand before disappearing into the back room.

"Isn't she amazing?" Brooke asks Millie

"She seems a bit annoying." Ellie states

"Um, I guess, but that's my job." Millicent adds

"Not anymore, miss thing. The fashion blogs are still buzzing about you. You are officially a model. Your only job now is to worry about being pretty." Brooke exclaimed

"You... you might want to worry just a smidge more." Ellie tells her looking at her uneven buttoned up jacket

"I know." Millie admits "I was out late. And, Brooke, I am excellent at multitasking, and I'd be happy to keep my administrative responsibilities."

"Nonsense. I am not gonna have the new face of my company doing dirty work." Brooke tells her "Now off you go. Do whatever models do in their spare time. Just be back this afternoon for a swimsuit fitting."

"Swimsuits?" Asks Millie

"That's what mum said, isn't it?" Asks Ellie

"Wow. Okay." Millicent mutters "I mean... great!" She exclaimed holding her hand out for a fist bump

"Oh... Welcome to Clothes Over Bros." Brooke says ignoring it and walking over to the lady that had just walked in.

"Here." Ellie says holding out her fist, the two of the fist bumping each other.

Ellie was sitting on the counter chatting to Chase as he looked around for things to Mia.

"So, my report card was really good." Ellie tells him "mum and dad were pretty impressed."

"Oh yeah, what'd you get?" Asked Chase

"Well it was good apart from one thing..." Ellie trails off.

"And what would that be?" Asked Chase

"She wrote for a comment; It would seem that Ellie thinks she is running the school and not me. If this attitude persists one of us will have to leave." She tells him

"What did you mum think of that?" Chase asks her

"Uh..." Ellie paused "she wasn't impressed, but I managed to squeeze my way out of trouble."

"Chase... What brings you in?" Asked Brooke walking over to them.

"Uh, just doing a little shopping for Mia." He tells Brooke "Ellie been helping me."

"I am pretty helpful." Ellie agrees

"Ohh. You guys have been together a long time." Brooke says

"Mm-hmm. What about you? I heard Julian moved here. That must be... awesome." Chase says

"Uh-huh." Brooke muttered

"Or not so awesome?" Chases asks

"No. It's amazing. I'm just a little annoyed because at first I had him all to myself, and lately he has been working with one of my models."

"Mm. Well, I wouldn't worry. I'm sure it's harmless."

"Mm, I wouldn't be so sure." Ellie says "Alex is totally hot for him."
