Marcus P.O.V.

"We slidin to the dance this Saturday?" Chris asked. I hit the locks on my truck, and shut the door.

"I am, and I gotta female to go with." Will said with a smirk. I chuckled, pulling my bookbag up on my shoulders. "Who? Cause not to long ago yo dusty ass was on my porch cryin about how you ain't got no hoes."

He sucked his teeth. "I wasn't cryin, but nah, y'all know Brittany?" Chris and I shook our heads, walking up the steps of the school.

"The only Brittany I know is white girl Brittany." Chris said, pulling the door open. We manuvered our way through the hallway, making our way over to our lockers.

"I know y'all know who Im talkin about, you know, Brittany, the brownskin girl with the long hair?"

I nodded, putting my combination in. "Oh yeah, shorty that's always smilin at you." He chuckled. "Yeah, her."

"How you pulled that?" I grabbed my textbook out of my locker and closed it. "He probably spit that wack ass tired ass game like he also do." Chris said in a laugh.

"It ain't that wack and tired if it worked."

I shook my head, chuckiling. "So, your obsession with Aliyah's friend is over with huh?" Chris asked.

"I was never obsessed with her, I just wanted to know if she was single."

"Uh-huh, right, always tryna wife these hoes, but speaking of Aliyah, you takin her to the dance??"

I scratched my chin, not sure how to answer. "Ion know, I haven't asked her." Chris sucked his teeth.

"Stop actin like you ain't fena ask her, I heard her Cordarius was gone ask her." I frowned.

"Where you heard that at?"

"It's just some shit I heard around school, so you better make yo move before he take ya girl." I shook my head.

"She ain't gone say yes to his ass, if he wanna embarrass himself like that, then cool, that ain't got nothin to do with me."

He chuckled. "Oh, so you got confidence now? Damn, you got it like that?" I laughed, shaking my head.

"Let's go."

Aliyah P.O.V.

I pulled into my usual parking spot, and sighed once I seen Cordarius and his boys pulling in right infront of me.

I quickly grabbed my shades, putting them on my face before grabbing my books and bag. I stepped out of the car, not even acknowledgeing them. I hit the locks on my key ring, just in time for all of them to be getting out of the car.

I turned around to walk away, but stopped once I heard Cordarius speak to me. "Damn Aliyah, I know you seen us, you too good to say goodmorning now?" I turned around, flipping my hair over my shoulder.

"I don't have to say it, if I don't want too, but goodmorning." I shook my head and was about to turn around again, when I heard Tyree's voice.

"Same ol Aliyah, you lookin good in them jeans baby." I quickly turned around and frowned once I seen Tyree climbing out of the back of Cordaruis car.

"What? You can't say goodmorning to me either?" He pulled his bookbag up on his back and smirked.

I shook my head, not even wanting to waste any breathe on him. I turned back around and continued walking towards the school, when I felt someone grab my arm and spin me back around.

"Li-Li wait."

"Don't you ever put your goddamn hands on me." I pulled my bag back up on my shoulder, frowning.
