Alone For Once

Clem thought she would regret leaving the band, but her sisters' reactions and the relief she felt when the announcement broke on Instagram got her thinking she made the right decision. Yet she needed more than that. A change of scenery was very much needed.

She had thought a lot about where to move. She wanted to move to somewhere she wouldn't be alone. London was a good option for her, Dublin as well, but she didn't choose either of those. She had people waiting for her somewhere else.

And boy oh boy had they been persuasive. Every day since she had told them she wanted to move away from France they had sent her pictures of Ljubljana on their group chat to convince her to move close to them.

A beautiful city, and some friends there in the same industry as her. That couldn't be a bad choice.

With her sisters still not being back in their shared apartment, Clémence packed her entire life into three suitcases and booked a flight to Ljubljana. Flo and Gab haven't talked to her since she told them she was leaving the band yet she wrote them a letter because no matter what, they still were her sisters.

The redhead couldn't help but think that if her departure from the band meant the end of any form of relationship between the three then it meant she had made the right choice. And considering Flo and Gab's reactions, this separation was bound to happen.

Why couldn't they be supportive?

The band has been a massive part of their life, that was for sure. But to the point of ending their entire relationship as sisters? That was a bit too much. Are we really going to be like the Gallagher brothers?

She wasn't worried about them and the band, they would easily find a new drummer, especially after the Eurovision. Clem wasn't the singer, just doing some backup vocals, it wasn't like Flo left and they needed to find a new frontwoman and singer.

She didn't really have a place to live in Ljubljana, yet her friends had each of them offered to share their apartments with her, at least until she found her own place. But weirdly enough, they almost all told her to move in with Bojan since he apparently had the largest apartment. 

Landing at Ljubljana Airport, it didn't take long for her to find her friends. Bojan, Jure, Kris, Jan and Nace were each holding a poster with a letter spelling "CLEM !". She couldn't help but smile at the sight and took a quick photo.

"Welcome to your new home" smiled Bojan when she approached. "Come on, let us help you" he added before Jure, Nace and himself each grabbed a suitcase from the luggage trolley.

"How does it feel to be the 2020s Gallagher brothers?" asked Bojan when the entire band sat in his living room. She laughed at the statement.

"I don't think we are even close to Oasis" she shook her head. 

"I mean... a sibling leaving a family band on pretty bad terms... pretty close to me!" he told her. 

"Oh please ! I know the girls, they'll find someone to replace me and soon enough they'll be back making music and going on tour ! Me leaving isn't the end of the band" she explained.

Bojan was a wonderful host. He immediately made her feel like his apartment was also her own, he became a tour guide when he took her to visit Ljubljana and invited her to his favourite restaurants.
