With a shocked expression on your face, you let the line go silent for a moment. "Um. Yeah." You took your head into your hands. Javier gave you the address to the restaurant, a very nice place right by the water. He hung up, it was about 3:30pm now. Out of fear and nervousness you deep cleaned your loft. Everything has to be placed specially and if anything was off even remotely it would ruin everything. You had changed into something more appropriate and raced with your car to a small strip mall where you picked up some candles, a stained glass ashtray that mimicked the color of lime, and moth balls. You stopped next door to a liquor store that had bars lining the small windows and one of the neon lights made the letters sputter. You bought a bottle of Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir aged 20 years. When you finished you took the long way back to your loft, you looked at the angry ocean crashing against the soft shore, continually dragging the white sands back into the mouth of the deep ocean. The palm trees shook against the ocean winds, their wispy leaves rocked back and fourth twirling harshly. You could feel your fists tighten against the steering wheel and your heart pound against your throat. Javier's reactions had weirded you out, his calmness and minimal sentences was different. He knew you, why would he talk to you like that.

You soon pulled into your driveway and put the car into park while your foot pushed down on the break. You popped the trunk of the car and got out, you shut the car door and walked to your trunk and opened it. You pulled out the thin brown paper bags and tucked two of them under your arms and shuffled to the front door and fished the keys from your back pocket and opened the door. You pushed the door open with your foot and hobbled to the small table that sat next to your already small kitchen, two chairs and a circular shape. You set everything down on the table and walked back out to your door to close the trunk of the car and close the door once you got in. You took everything out of the bags, you set the candles on the coffee table, the bottles of wine you kept in the wine rack that hung in the kitchen. Other groceries and little things you put in their respective places. Fruits went in the basket by the fridge and veggies went in the fridge. It
Was close to 5:52pm now, Javier never told you when to be there. Most of the dates you went on he told you to be ready by 6:45pm at least. You rushed upstairs to root through your drawers and find a nice out fit. A Light blue off the shoulder sundress that draped a few inches off the floor. That worked. You paired it with a pair of white pumps and accented gold Jewelry. You set everything on your bed, you trotted down the stairs and went headed for the small shower. You started the water quickly and hopped in even with the cold water hitting your back. It made your skin ripple and hair stand up. You reached over on the side of the shower and took a razor in your hand and put the handle to your mouth. You reached Down for a bottle of shaving cream and pushed the Nozzle at the top letting the creamy white foam expand in your hands. You smeared it across your leg, you took the razor from your mouth and dragged it gently up your legs, making sure to avoid any nicks and cuts. You moved on to the other leg, your razor took its victim, you had a cut that ran across your thigh. It wasn't deep but it made you wince when you ran it under the now scalding hot water. You washed your hair very quickly and the rest of your self as well. You rinsed off and sprung out of the shower and jogged with a towel halfway falling of your body up the now slick staircase to the upstairs. You put on a fresh pair on panties, a cream color with a lacy finish on the ends. You slid on skin colored shear stocking to hide the left over hair that you missed in your legs. Normally you didn't care what people thought about you, but tonight everything had to be precise and planed to perfection. You sat on your floor and shuffled though one box that had curling irons, rollers, hair clips and a blow drier. You pulled out the blow dryer from the cords that wrapped around it, you plugged it into the wall and stood up with it, you looked in the mirror that hung above your dresser and of course, the hair dryer cord was Too short. You flung your head forward and turned the dryer on full blast (medium heat) and shook your head every now and then to get some of the water out that was being tucked away. You took a hair brush and raked it through your hair makings sure to get out any knots and spread the hair evenly to dry better. It was half 3/4 of the way dry so you just deceived to get started on your makeup, it was about 6:20 now and your heart pounded harder every time the clock went minute by minute. You finished with your makeup and you finally slid your dress over your body. Thank god no one was outside the sun was setting soon. A pink and purple hue illuminated the inside of your loft making your face glow with the sun. You put your final
Jewelry on and checked the small watch that sat on your wrist. It was your grandmothers, thin gold band , the watch it self was the shape of the eye and matched the gold platting that was on the band. The clasp was a little broken but it was still able to be worn comfortably. You grabbed your purse and hobbled down the stairs trying to get your shoes on, one hand grabbing into the stair railing and the other trying to get your shoe on. You somehow made it to the floor without our falling. You jogged out the door and opened the car door, you jumped in the seat and shoved the keys into the ignition and started the car.
