Which deathstroke aka Slade Wilson a ex great military soilder who had to undergo an experimental process that increased his mental and physical abilities to superhuman levels decided to go after "the worlds greatest swordsman".
During that fight deathstroke barely had survived and had lost his eye in the fight which Yato had allowed the super soilder to live seeing potential in him.
Now Yato just travels the world looking and seeking a challenge to give him the thrill of a battle that he has lost.
