Normal Perspective:

A few weeks had passed since the incident at the Energon mine, and the humans had recovered fully from the incident. As Jack had predicted, Jessica had suffered from a mild concussion, but she had been able to fully recover within a week, and Jack and Miko hadn't suffered from any ailments from inhaling the dust from the mine, and all three were now going on with their lives as if nothing had happened.

One early morning, Michael and Cliffjumper were on the roof of the silo, looking out into the early morning sun. They were enjoying the peace when the elevator to the roof appeared, and a familiar blue femme walked out of it.

Arcee smiled when she saw the two of them.

"Hey partner," She said to Cliffjumper. "Heck of a view you've got up here."

"It really is a beautiful view." Cliffjumper replied, smiling.

Arcee walked over and joined them, silence falling between them for a while as they watched the sunrise, as the dawn of a new day made its way over their base. The blue femme looked further up into the sky, and sighed.

"Tailgate, if there's even a small chance that your Spark is out there listening..." Arcee said, speaking out to the heavens above them. "We could really use you, Tail. Seems that every day, a new Decepticon arrives on the scene. We're outnumbered and outgunned...!"

"Sounds like a fair fight." Cliffjumper chuckled softly.

Arcee gave a smile small, but it soon faded as coolant began to well up in her optics.

"But if that's the world we live in... so be it..." Arcee continued, her voice wavering, but then she became firm. "But I want you to know... I haven't given up... I will make Airachnid pay for taking you from us...!"

Cliffjumper took a hold of her servo in one of his in a comforting manner. She smiled at the support. Even though her relationship with the red mech was completely platonic, she would never trade him in for anything, not even for the chance to see Tailgate again.

But that didn't mean the pain of the loss of her other partner didn't go away.

They say it gets easier as time goes on, but the truth was, it never does.

The trio stood in silence once again for a while, until Michael spoke up.

"Arcee?" The blue femme over at him, but didn't speak. "I don't think this is the end of Tailgate's story. I believe there's still a chance left for him."

"What do you mean?" She asked, confused.

"I believe I can help him."

"What do you.... How...?" Arcee asked, not understanding.

"I don't know to be honest... but I believe I can save him and bring him back to you." The Techno-Organic replied. "How? I still don't know. But like you, I haven't given up on trying." He added, smiling.

Despite the pain she still felt over losing her partner, she couldn't help but feel as though a heavy weight had been lifted upon hearing Michael's words.

"Thank you, Michael." She said gratefully. Michael smiled in return.

The three stayed on the roof for another hour before heading back inside. As they did, Michael couldn't help but smile. He could bring Tailgate back. He knew he could do it.

He just needed to figure out how.

In a forested and rocky area, Starscream and Airachnid landed near to where their destination, a crashed Decepticon ship known as the Harbinger, was located.
