None of them came to your crying.

The house was bare bones as if anyone had lived there for a while. Cobwebs was over everything.

Dust was everywhere, hardly any food in the fridge or on the table.

The doors locked. All of them. Even the windows. Fresh snow was outside but the heat wasn't on.

It was freezing in the house.

The meeting room was quiet, spiders had done took over the underside of the table where the states would sit down to have adult conversations.

You curled up and cried on the cold floor. "I want Cece," you screamed.

"Y/n!" DC's voice appeared out of thin air, it scared you. "Wake up!"

You woke with a jump seeing DC trying to wake you.

You started crying, curling into DC's shoulder.

"Shh, shh, it's okay," he said holding you.

"Don't leave..." you cried. It sounded like "On't, eve," from your crying.

DC rubbed your back. "I'm not leaving, it's okay."

You whimpered as he comforted you. "It's okay, shh shh."

DC now understood your dream. "Did everyone leave in your dream?" He asked.

You nodded, your little face wrecked with tears.

DC continued to rub your back. "You will never be alone again. I won't let anyone do that you again," He knew why you was upset.

He had taken you in when no one else would. Immortals and half immortals didn't fit in with "normal" CPS so they had their own category.

No one wanted you because you was clingy, had major seperation anxiety and rather scary night terrors.

DC was in the process of adopting you but the States had adopted you in their own right.

If DC wasn't around and you was scared, you looked for Georgia. If he wasn't around then it was New York and so forth.

DC sighed. "You want in my bed?" He asked. He was exhausted.

You nodded against his shoulder.

He shifted you to his hip as he got up. He carried you out of your room and across the hall to his bedroom/office.

You was already out by the time he got you in his bed. He curled up beside you and cut out the light.

You didn't have anymore nightmares that night and DC wasn't as worried that you had a good sleep.

He worried more for you then he did the States.

He wasn't just a dad now. He stepped up to care for you.

And nothing was gonna stand in his way now.
