Chapter 41

"Stop looking at me like that, Dagger," inis na saway ng dalaga sa nobyo nang  makitang hindi siya nito nilulubayan ng tingin.

"What? I'm just staring at my unpredictable girlfriend," sagot nito na may pilyong ngiti sa labi. He stepped closer to fix the blanket on her legs. "I didn't expect you to react that way."

She rolled her eyes upon hearing that. "I was terrified, okay? Natakot ako, oo. It was my first time seeing someone being tortured, and it was you who's doing that. But after remembering how he made me feel weak, and how he threatened to kill me, I realized that he deserves it anyway. I hate being inferior. Hindi niya deserve ang takot ko kaya mabuti nang mamatay siya."

Nagpakawala ito nang mahinang tawa at umupo sa tabi niya. "I know, and I'm sorry for keeping it a secret. I was afraid that you'll run away from me because of my real job."

"What?" Umayos siya ng upo at hinarap ito. "That was your real job? Ahm, are you, and your family... a mafia? Or something like that?"

"Higher. We kill bad people only, we've never touched innocent people, and we're not doing illegal jobs aside from killing. We don't do drugs also," seryosong sagot nito.

"Syempre, ako lang naman kinaaadikan mo," panunukso niya na ikinatawa naman ng lalaki.

He gently pulled her for a hug before planting soft kisses against her hair. "I love you, baby."

"I love you too." Hinawakan niya ang braso nito. "You're still trembling. I told you already, I'm not afraid of you."

"I can't help it. Normal people would do everything to step away from our lives once they find out about our secrets. And I love you more than anyone else in this world, Saellyn, I might die from too much pain thinking that you'll leave me also," he sincerely confessed.

"Ibahin mo ako kasi na-e-excite ako dahil ang astig pala ng boyfriend ko." She giggled before cupping both of his cheeks. Ilang ulit niyang hinalikan ang mga labi nito. "I love you, and thank you for saving me. I almost got killed, Dagger. At hindi ako magiging mababaw para hiwalayan ka dahil sa bagay ba kinakatakot mo. You were doing those things before you met me, you grew up killing bad people, and I will never use it against you. Ayokong baguhin lahat ng bagay na kinagisnan mo para lang sa relasyon natin. You're even doing this world a favor for eliminating those kind of people."

Dagger teared up after hearing that. Kinagat nito ang ibabang labi bago siya yakapin nang napakahigpit.

"You don't hate me, right?"

She nodded multiple times. "Hmm."

"Then marry me."

"Huy!" Natatawa niya itong tinulak sa dibdib dahilan para mapanguso ang nobyo. "You're taking advantage of the situation, baby. Masyado kang excited sa kasal."

"Doon din naman tayo pupunta, 'di ba? Paagahin na lang natin."

Pilyo nitong tinaas baba ang kilay na ikinahagikhik niya. She gently pinched the bridge of his nose. "Pakakasalan lang kita kapag nakahanap na ng pakwan na black."

"What?" Kumunot ang noo nito sa narinig. "Baby, that's impossible!"

She was about to answer back when Liam entered her room in panic.

"O to the m to the g! My dear alaga, where have you been? At bakit nandito ang mahal na prinsipe?" tanong nito.

She chuckled. "We're dating, Liam."

His eyes widened. "What?! The both of you? Eh, akala ko ba si Madelaine ang girlfriend mo, Dagger?" masungit nitong tanong.

Kumunot ang noo nilang dalawa.

"What do you mean? I'm not dating her," sagot pabalik ng lalaki.

Liam grabbed his phone before flashing it on their faces. "Gosh! Madelaine confessed yesterday during the Red and Fame Interview that she's dating you. She even said that you devirginized her!"

They're both shocked after hearing that from Liam. Mabilis na nilingon ni Saellyn ang nobyo pero hindi maipinta ang mukha nito sa galit.

"She fucking said that?"

"Yes, kaya nga trending kayong dalawa hanggang ngayon, eh. Nasaan ba kayong dalawa kahapon—"

"Dagger!" she called him when he angrily walked out.

"Galit siya, my dear! Habulin mo dali, baka ibalibag no'n si Madelaine."

She bit her lower lip before chasing Dagger. Nakalabas na ito ng bahay niya at halos hingalin siya sa pagod para lang maabutan ito.

Agad niyang pinigil ang lalaki sa pagsakay sa kotse. "Baby, where are you going?"

"I'll fucking kill her."

Maingat siya nitong tinulak papalayo sa kotse at agad na sumakay. "Dagger!" taranta niyang tawag sa pangalan nito.

But it seems like he's really fuming mad about it. Dire-diretsyo lang itong nagmaneho, at wala siya ibang nagawa kung hindi tanawin ang sasakyan nitong papalayo.

Nasabunutan niya ang sarili dahil sa frustration na nararamdaman. Tumakbo siya pabalik sa loob at agad na hinarap ang manager.

"Was it all over the internet?" she asked.

Tumango naman ito nang mabilis. "Super, super trending! Their fandom is going wild, they're bragging everywhere. Ang strange lang kasi masyadong tahimik ang fandom ninyong dalawa ni Dagger. They should have do something about it."

Umiling siya. "Madelaine confirmed it herself, and Dagger haven't release any statement. Our fans are proper, Liam, I know they won't engage in issues like these. Maybe they're brokenhearted thinking that it was true."

"So, ano? Ikaw pala talaga ang jowabels ni Dagger, omg! Muntik pa akong magdabog kahapon kasi kitang-kita naming mga mima mo na sa 'yo siya sweet, tapos umarangkada ng confession itong si Madelaine. Tapos ngayon another revelation na naman, kaloka! My dear, you won't do something about this? You're the real girlfriend after all," tanong nito.

"Gusto kong sampalin ang babaeng 'yon but I need to know first where she's staying at right now. I know that Dagger is coming after her, and I'm afraid of the things he can do to Madelaine. You don't know him, Liam, he won't think twice hurting her," she worriedly replied.

"Okay, kabog! I heard she's staying at her condo right now somewhere near. Para sa shoot niya. Let's go, my dear! I'll take you there."

Tumango siya rito at kinagat ang ibabang labi dahil sa pinaghalo-halong stress at kaba.
