Chapter 18

Saellyn's eyes widened upon reading the message she just received from unfamiliar number.

Hoy, na saan ka?

- Stranger na nakilala mo dahil sa katangahan mo

Lihim siyang natawa matapos mabasa 'yon. She knows exactly who the sender is.

Mabilis niyang tinawagan ang numero na gamit nito para makausap ito nang maayos. She smiled a little when the call started.

"What?" she asked.

"Anong what? Na saan ka?"

"I'm waiting for someone inside a plaza, I think it's near my dad's company," she answered.

"Tangina mo three months lang akong walang paramdam sinasampal mo na ako ng pagiging spokening dollars mo. Balita ko may project ka ngayon, ah. Kumusta? Buti hindi ka natanggal agad." She frowned upon hearing that.

Ngumuso siya. "Ang sama mo! Ang galing ko kaya. And marami na rin akong na-shoot na scenes. Kailan ka ba kasi uuwi rito?"

"Nakauwi na ako. Allergic yata balat ko sa Germany, araw-araw tinotopak katawan ko. Nananakit ng kung sinu-sino. Mamaya patalsikin pa ako doon, edi uuwi na lang ako ng kusang loob. Nakakahiya naman kasi kapag nag-effort pa silang paalisin ako. Inunahan ko na." She chuckled with that.

"Meet me, track my location. May isusumbong ako sa 'yong bitchesa," turan niya.

"Ay putangina may umaaway sa 'yo? Sino? Mumurahin ko 'yan hanggang hindi na makaahon sa pagkapikon," galit na saad ng kausap.

"Gaga! Bibig mo talaga. Bilis, punta ka rito. I'll introduce someone to you also," excited niyang sabi.

"Baka mamaya i-blind date mo ako. Gago, baka maisalya kita. Hindi pa ako nakakaupo nasa Hospital ka na."

"Silhouette! Napakasama talaga ng ugali, eh."

"Talaga. Matagal na. Nagulat ka pa?"

Sumimangot muli siya. "I'll wait for you here, okay? And he's not for you! He's for me. I just want to introduce you to him."

"Naks!" Humalakhak ito. "Putangina nakapang-uto ka na pala ng jowabells mo. Akala ko forever kang single dahil sa pagiging spoiled bitchesa mo."

"Argh! Just come here and shut up!"

"Ge, magmo-motor ako, ha. Para agaw atensyon. Alam mo naman ako, attention seeker." She chuckled as Silhouette ended the call.

Kasabay no'n ay ang pagdating ni Dagger. He left to answer an important call and she already ordered food while he's away.

"I'm sorry if it took so long. My brother called me," he explained.

"It's okay. I called my friend also and told her to meet me here. Can we wait for her after eating?" she asked.

Hinaplos nito ang balikat niya at hinalikan siya sa pisngi. "A woman?"

"Yes, her nga 'diba," sabat niya.

"Hmm. Liam told me you have no friends aside from them," he replied.

"I have one friend aside from them, si Silhouette. You'll meet her later. We met when she saved me from those rude men at the bar. Medyo grabe 'yung choice of words niya, pero mabait 'yon promise." She smiled sweetly.

Tumango ang lalaki at pinisil pa ang ilong niya. "You looked so happy while talking about her, I guess she's really a good person."

"Yes, she's actually--" She went silent when a loud noise from a motorcycle caught her attention.

Agad siyang lumingon sa direksyon na pinanggalingan non at napanganga. Silhouette get off from her motorcycle before removing her helmet.

"Acid!" She stood up in excitement to call her friend's attention.

Nang makalapit ito ay napanganga pa siya nang bahagya siya nitong yakapin. "Gago, na-miss kita kahit bitch ka."

She pouted her lips before hugging back. "I miss you too! Bakit ang bilis mo makarating?"

"Kahit sino bibilis kung nandiyan ka lang sa kabilang kanto, eh. Bait talaga ni Lord sa akin. Pinapadali mga desisyon ko sa buhay." Maangas itong umupo sa harap ni Dagger.

"Hey, ahm." Tumikhim ito. "Are you my friend's boyfriend?" Silhouette asked.

Dagger nodded that made her eyes widened. Umupo siya sa tabi ng lalaki at bahagya itong kinurot.

"Naks, Saellyn! Naunahan mo pa ako. Sabi mo dati mauuna akong mabuntis, ah. Mukhang goodbye v-card ka ngayon sa foreigner na 'to."

Saellyn shut her eyes closed upon hearing that. Napakagaga talaga nito, akala siguro hindi nakakaintindi ng tagalog ang lalaki.

"I'm not a fan of sex before marriage." Sabay silang napalingon sa lalaki nang magsalita ito. Nanlaki rin nang bahagya ang mga mata ng kaibigan niya pero agad nakabawi.

Makapal mukha kaya naka-move on agad sa hiya.

"Ay sorry, akala ko hindi ka nakakaintindi ng tagalog. Anyway." Silhouette crossed her arms. "Sa oras na tawagan ako ng kaibigan ko na umiiyak nang dahil sa 'yo, I'll never hesitate to kill you and make you suffer more than you inflicted to her," seryosong sabi nito.

"I'll never do that. Hurting her is the last thing I would do."

"Everyone already said that," mataray nitong sabat.

"Anyone can, but I'm not one of them. I'll never enter Saellyn's life to hurt her. Tingin mo gano'n ako kagago para pasukin at guluhin ang buhay ng babaeng nananahimik lang? I'm not that kind of guy who'll easily back out with my decisions. Being with her is one of the best decision I made so far."

Nagpalipat-lipat ang tingin niya sa lalaki at sa kaibigan dahil sa tensyong namumuo sa pagitan ng mga ito.

"The food is getting cold," Saellyn interrupted.

"I'm sorry, baby," he whispered.

"Pre, ayos lang, huwag kang mag-sorry. Approved ka na sa akin. Pero babayagan pa rin kita kapag pinaiyak mo 'yan." Her friend bowed a little. "Silhouette Montevero."

"Dagger Knights." He took a sip from his coffee before looking straight at Silhouette. "Aren't you a Ferrer?"

"How did you know about that?" takang tanong nito.

"Oh." He chuckled a little before looking away.

Silhouette sat beside her quietly before whispering. "Gago ka, Knights 'yan?"

She nodded. "He just introduced himself. Why are you asking?" bulong niya.

"That surname means nightmare for me. But I think he can keep you safe so I won't say anything. Just don't get hurt." Tumayo ito atsaka pinagpagan ang damit.

"I need to leave, may gagawin lang sa agency. Ikaw na bahala sa kaibigan ko." Dagger just formally nodded.

Nakangiting yumakap naman siya sa kaibigan para magpaalam dito. The moment Silhouette vanished from her sight, she felt Dagger pulling her gently to sit down. Hinalikan pa siya nito sa sentido na ikinangiti niya nang bahagya.

"Eat your food, baby. We'll go to the arcade you're talking about after," he said.

She excitedly nodded her head. "Thank you!"
