✎ Personality = South Korea is a very optimistic person, to say the least. Or he tries? He doesn't really open up about his past either, so not many people know much about where he came from but more about where he is now.

[ OPTIMISTIC ] When I say he's optimistic, I mean he shows confidence and much hope for a brighter future. He's often shown with a wide smile and brights up the room with his uplifting expressions. When in doubt, really he's the person you'll wanna visit because he always gives an optimistic answer. Another major trait of his optimistic vibe is his high gratitude. He always shows many thanks for people who treat him kindly and returns the favour of doing small things [often giving little pins or mugunghwa flowers to people to express his thank for them.] A lot of people portray him as this outgoing, bubbly person around New people but I really don't think he'd be too intimate in physical interactions or making new friends. I think his backstory is something he's yet to overcome mentally and he would rather stick to people he already knows. He's happy with the people he's surrounded himself with already and I don't think making friends with Country or non-countryhumans is something he's rushing himself to do.

[ RESPECT] Sided with his gratitude, he was raised by his mother to always be respectful. He grew up revolving around being a good listener and showing up when he's supposed to. He often doesn't make excuses on reasons he can't go out because A) he sucks at lying without either confessing about it later or giggling mid-way through. And B) There's no reason for that. He never says he's sick when he isn't or never responds when asked where he is, so it would be totally out of character for him to not respond to you.
